I have not been following the current music hits for about 3-5 years - probably more. I have about 3000 MP3's on my HD I've been collecting for over the years and would like to add more, however I would have no clue what's good out there. Even MP3 that much will start to get bored if you've been listening to it for years.

So, what are you listening to? List them please?

My chose of music can be anything but that damn music on the tv, don't like 50 cents sort of stuff, it's making me go mad in side my head, but i like eminem sometimes, marilyn manson.

my favourites are radiohead, sigur ros, pinkfloyd, muse, coldplay, classical film scores, david bowie...deftone and my music is real scary (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Opera IX. It's a great , and I really mean great metal band, actually occult metal band, with a female voice that creeps me, and makes my hair curl. They have an album, The BlacK Opera, which describes the voyage of an initiate through the mysteries of Shaitan, with all the magickal stuff, casting circles, guardians, demons, you know... Anyway, the music sounds just perfect.
Except this band, I like Penetralia, lacrimas Profundere, Cradle of Filth and, on the other side, for my other personality, Manowar, Pantera and Children of Bodom. Metal, in one word. Oh, I almost forgot Depeche Mode, perfectly fit for romantic moods.

I like Pantera. Heavy stuff! I lost the their tape about 7 years ago, do you happen to have the MP3? Depeche Mode - I'll look for that one too.

I think I'll make a new MP3 Trade thread (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Mad about MP3, hugh? I do have all the albums with Phil Anselmo, except 'Far Beyond Driven' as MP3...(and soon I'll have a T-shirt with Phil, yupyyy). Maybe I can send them to you mentally...or you can ask Sophia to come and get them from me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif)

If you ever read the book "Personality Plus" I'm mainly melancholic (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif) I'm currently *in love* with songs by Guy Sebastian, Alexander and Christian Bautista I kept listening over and over:
Guy Sebastian
Just as I am
Angels brought me here
My beautiful friend
I (IMG:style_emoticons/default/001.gif) his voice! I wish I can sing as good as he is!

Alexander
Sunshine after the rain (summer dream mix)
Here I am

Christian Bautista
The way you look (accoustic)
I don't want to see

as well as Ruben Studdard - I Need An Angel and Maroon 5 - Harder to Breathe, Sunday Morning, This Love, She Will be Loved, and The Sun.

What's yours?

Be sure to check out 'Current 93', 'Nature and organisation' for some real nice music.

'Dead can dance' are also very nice, i think aaron c. donahue also wrote something about their music breaking alien boundries someting something (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Oh, and if you are into a bit more metallic, 'Nightwish' and 'Within Temptation' for sure!

Cheers.

Well, it's hard to explain (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

very hard. nature and organisatio feels.. harmony and spiritual like (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Current 93 was named after a german webpage, the 93 current i think.. aaand, well, they sing alot about weird stuff, but alot is very good. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(they wrote a song about crowley =D)

There's a webradio out there somewhere that plays alot of c93 and NWW (nurse with wounds) and similar bands, very nice, a must for any magician (IMG:style_emoticons/default/7.gif)

I'd be happy to share some if you'd like

Well, even though the last reply was around April...I wasn't here, so I'm going to post. lol....I mostly listen to oldies, Sinatra, Dean Martin, Dion & The Belmonts, The beatles, etc...As for new music I stick to my italian Pop (Tiziano Ferro, Paola E Chiara, etc), and techno. I listen to a bit of 80's freestyle, too...That whole hiphop genre, and the rock thing just doesn't do it for me as it does allot of the people I see on a daily basis...

I love nightwish they are someting but rumour has it that they kicked tarja out of the band (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) If you like nightwish you should liste to Within-Temptation. Kinda the same ideas seeing as how they are both into the same things and from Finland, but you know they have songs together and both are wonderful!

No, C93 was named after the "93 current", which is essentially the thelemic current. The main C93 guy used to be an enthusiastic OTO member but later became disillusioned with it.

And obviousy I listen to the same kind of music too. :-)

I'm sorry I rechecked their website and they are from Holland. I was told they where from Finland when I got their CD through special order. It could just be that the Record store ordered the CD from Finland though....

A lot of the stuff I like to listen to is streamed from www.di.fm - mostly the vocal trance/chillout channels. Although depending on current mood, classic can be a great wind-down

Currently listening (repeatedly) to:
Home - Michael Buble
Save the Last Dance for Me - Michael Buble
Who Says - John Mayer
Your Body is a Wonderland (Acoustic version) - John Mayer

I also pinned this topic for quick reference. As we get older (yeah...) we don't often keep up with current music hits, and I hope this thread will help people to keep up-to-date with the music we much needed!

I've just finished listening to Sculpting the Throne ov Seth by Behemoth, and am now about to listen to some Mutiny Within. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

In fact, any metalheads out there who haven't listened to Mutiny Within, check them out! One of the best metal bands about at the moment in my opinion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

At this instant, I'm probably listening to the very best Joy Division cover EVER. 'Transmission' has been one of my favourite songs since I was a child, so this won the internetz for a day.

Otherwise I listen to a lot of Gary Numan and bands like Project Pitchfork, Absurd Minds, Covenant, etc. I also have a soft spot for the musical Cats.

I switch between bands a LOT. I can't stand pop music (Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas, Etc.). Currently can't stop listening to:

Florence and the Machine:
Howl
Cosmic Love
The Dog Days Are Over

Skillet
Monster
Hero
Comatose

And Carry On My Wayward Son by Kansas. Always loved that song, and anything by Sting and The Police.

More exciting than Football,
Less competitive than Solitaire.
