I just signed up for the forum and I figured I would write briefly about my magical interests and practices. I am a long term study of the occult in most if not all of its forms. I have recently just begun formal practice and development, even though I have had a natural working and affinity with magick and many of its forms my entire life. I do not know what has taken me this long to act, but I suppose better late than never. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Currently, I am working on Shamanic journeying and trance states (primarily Celtic/Norse based), astral projection, weather working, etc. I also am working with energy on every level, but mostly psi work (telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and human energy exchange in leeching, transformative, rehabilitative practices dealing with all 3 main aspects(emotional, mental, and physical)

I am not opposed to working with God(s) or Goddesses in the future but as of yet, I either do not have an affinity for any being specifically, or I am not yet ready in my magickal journey to deal with something so outside of my comfort zone.

Given all of this, and after all of my studies, I have found these particular paths of magick resonate with me above all others, yet I would not know how to classify myself as a practitioner? I would hate to call myself a Shaman as I do not abide by any formal or readily accepted ritual magick, nor do I worship or call upon any god-forms in my work. However, I do try to give positive appreciation to what influences I can identify in my work (mostly use "spirit" as a general modifier). So, I really don't have a descriptive source or classification of the macrocosmic power I use to augment my own... I suppose my magickal "label" will unfold in due time. Ah well.

Anyway, I hope to have some nice discussion in exchange with all who will listen. To you all, take care and be well.

Never stop seeking your own truth,

Shaper

Welcome Shaper
A lot of people don't have a label that fits themselves snugly, so don't worry about it.
Have a look around and perhaps some of the threads and discussions might be of use to you.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

Thanks for the greetings. Well met.

While I agree with you about labeling oneself. I suppose I wanted to also see if there were others about with a path similar to mine either in part, or as a whole. It helps to have kin nearby, when walking through the forest alone.

Take care, and be well.

only label i have is 'whacked' or maybe 'stupid idiot with a deathwish' for going about things the 'wrong way' intentionally, following the recipe i have followed since my memories began, before even the mists of the far past were raised to conceal it - finding your past life memories sometimes does not bring easing of the burden
