Hi all. This is my first post here after having signed up months ago.

I have a question regarding the hexagrams of the elements in the Golden Dawn hexagram rituals.
If the hexagrams rituals are to banish/invoke planetary or macrocosmic influences then what are the purpose o the hexagrams of the elements? I dont understand how they relate. Is it something like, in order to banish all the planetary influences at once, the LBRH uses the elemental hexagrams as a way to banish the influences as they are manifested through the elements on the physical (as planetary condenses into elemental) or related to the planets as the are represented on each of the four qabalistic worlds? I'm really not sure.

Any information anyone has regarding these elemental hexagrams would be really helpful.
Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Banishing the elements of the planets, symbols aren't hexagrams... can always take to the unicursal and banish saturn in each corner in place of the elemental version.

That being said I actually perfer the standard hexes myself... nice symbol... unicursal is kinda ugly.

The elements do not stop with the microscopic world but continue on through. This can best be seen in the enochian system and the influence of the zodiac upon the planets. Check the circle design of the Greater Key of Solomon for the origin of the hexagrams found in the LBRH and then the Golden Dawn aligned them upon the tree of life.

Which would you say wins over the unicursal and.standard hex? Currently doing a course and considering swithcing from one to the other... too many lines in the unicursal in my opinion... regardies also says to stick to the standard version.
