I believe I know what you mean, but for the record, don't worry about looking foolish for sharing your perspectives and ideas with us. This is by and large an accepting community, and the majority of serious members here welcome insights from other regardless - or especially, even - how foreign they may be. Not only that, but starting out a thread with a bit of a focused ramble, can stimulate more response, and thus, conversation, and on a discussion forum, this is how things work - and more generally, it is how people effectively trade views and grow from one another's experiences and perspectives. So please, ramble on!
In any case, I believe the spiritual home is a transitory thing - it's something that will change several times over a person's lifetime. To me the spiritual home is the place where you belong currently in your life. It's the place that will nurture you in the stage that you are in, and the base from which you will operate as you follow that part of your path into the lessons and insights that will shape and prepare you for the next stage.
My spiritual home, for instance, was in a small place in the woods when I was a child. Later, it was the home of a childhood friend. For a time then I had no spiritual home, and I felt a little lost, but I found it again with my two companions who I have now lived with for several years. Lately I have the sense that I will find a new spiritual home soon, as they also are going through changes which seem to indicate they are making a new one for themselves together.
A spiritual home isn't always a physical place, I think, sometimes it's a religion ideal, sometimes a particular person or group of people, eventually I think it must settle within somewhere.
Please, though, give us your own thoughts and opinions. Nothing is without value.
peace

The world is complicated - that which makes it up is elegantly simplistic, but infinitely versatile.
