This series is mind blowing..especially the 3rd volume and Peter's definition of evil. ... plus I think he pretty much reveals himself to be Simon ((of Necronomicon fame)) in volume 2. ... page 231 Peter Levenda writes "..as I wrote in another time, another place, and as the jonestown victims learned too late to save their lives, "God is the only safe thing to be.

I've read all of the Sinister Forces books, plus Unholy Alliance. The books are a great source of information and knowledge. So much research that has gone into these books, that I found myself wondering how the author ever found the time to actually write it all down. He quotes sources to back up all of his information. It's all written very well and it's extremely easy to read.

I have only one negative thing to say about Sinister Forces - I believe the author has allowed his own political leanings to blind him to half of the story. The books cover everything from Charles Whitman to UFOs, but when government is involved, Peter seems blind to any evilness associated with the Democratic party (in particular, the Clintons). Do not misunderstand - I am not defending the Republicans at all, nor am I disagreeing with anything Peter says in the books. I am only saying that the books totally ignore a lot of synchronicity associated with the Clintons. For me, it cost the books a little credibility because you can never know the whole story if you ignore half of it.

The books are the best thing I've found and no other author out there has even approached the topic, let alone researched it like Peter. I recommend buying them in order, as each book makes several references to the previous ones.

But you guys do recomend starting from book one? I may be headed to Barnes and noble soon.

Yes, I'd say start with book one if possible. Each book has parts that reference the previous ones, so it's easier to follow everything if you go in order. It's not totally required, but it helps to follow things. It would probably even be a good idea to start off with Unholy Alliance if you can.

Heh. It makes me wonder if Simon's going to die from (to use Stephen King's phrase) "Cancer of the pseudonym."

I might pick it up if I can find it for cheap. I'm not one for huge conspiracy theories. Hell, I doubt the gov't could find my house with a Google map, a satnav system, and a really big bright red arrow painted on the pavement leading directly to my driveway. So... Corporations are a different story as they can operate as quasi-legal entities that DON'T have to follow a lot of the rules and regs out there, and can do a lot of stuff that falls into legal grey areas. *shrug*

It still might prove to be interesting, though...

It depends brother Darkmage, I tend to agree with you. But the military and agencies are good at what they do. Politicians now thats a differant story.

The big companies are very frightning from a Shadow run perspective...It seems they just get bigger and bigger. And they had or have more hired mercs in iraq than the military. Ok not quite that many but there was enough that ive had soldiers tell me it made them nervous.

Ive had a good time reading many articles from this site today.....

Yeah, from what I've heard from buddies of mine who are ex-military, the Iraqis like the military. What they hate are the US corps and the independent contractors who are just there to do a job, and don't care about the local customs, what they do, or who they insult. In a face- and revenge-driven culture that's a very BAD way to be.

And ShadowRun rocks. I liked the Genesis cartridge better than the SNES one though. Never had the patience for the tabletop version as tabletop games generally bore me to tears. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/black eye.gif)

The books really aren't conspiracy theory books... Peter does a fantastic job of presenting you with facts. Certain things HAVE happened, certain people have known each other, certain people did have an occult background. The government did have involvement in a lot of things. The best thing about the books are that the author leaves it up to you to decide if a conspiracy existed or if these things were all a matter of coincidence. He never presents a conspiracy to you... you are left to decide that on your own. I promise that if you read these books, you will learn things that amaze you. Things you would have sworn could not have happened.
