No, an egregore is a thoughtform willfully constructed for a particular purpose, or to embody a particular idealology, by a group of magicians intent on working in concert towards some end, either specific or abstract.
An intelligence is the personification of the function of a particular archetypal entity. Like Intelligence, it is an ephemeral being wholly concerned with the 'blueprints' as it were, for the function itself. Just as man is composed of a mind, body, and spirit, so are the spheres and all things in creation composed of the organic, psychic, and spiritual parts, and those parts in turn are composed of microcosmic version of the mind, body, and spirit. These correspond to the three phases of the four elements as described in agrippa's three books; The Spirit as elemental fire, the Mind as elemental Air, and the Body as elemental water - the composite result being elemental earth.
All entities are trustworthy when properly approached and/or constrained depending on the variety of entity in question, except those that are willful manifestations of a human psyche.

The world is complicated - that which makes it up is elegantly simplistic, but infinitely versatile.
