Hi everyone! I came across this role playing game wich uses the seals of the goetic daemons (compared them with the seals of The Lesser Key of Solomon and they seem to be exactly the same) and I couldn't help wondering if it is dangerous to to let these powerful symbols get into the hands of any unsuspecting person. What are your opinions regarding this? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hmm.gif)

I think it depends on the person playing the game. If they believe it is just a game then I don't think they have anything to fear. If however, they know the seals are real then they might be tempted to use it. Thats where the trouble could start. Belief is key.

I read about this game (or possibly a similar one) in "Modern Magick." What is it called? I haven't seen it.

There is no danger in having the seals of these or any other spirits, whether used as a game or not. The seals given in the Lemegeton are to be replicated in metal and used as part of an elaborate ritual, and even for one who is trying to conjure the spirits, they are not bound to respond unless the ritual is performed correctly.

Don't know if it's the same game as the one that is described in Modern Magic, but here's a link:http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ag/20060310a
I just realized that the seals are slightly different than the ones from the Goetia (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif) Have never played the game so don't have any details about where the seals are used.
Nice ring Imperial Arts!

Funnily enough I was looking at that page last night, showing them to non-magical friend who is writing some kind of RP adventure and asked for a bit of background on them.

I'm inclined to agree with Imperial Arts on this I think. Not "dangerous" in the context in which they are being deployed.
