Article On Grimoire Magick Options

I must say that I am becoming more and more impressed with Aaron Leitch's occult scholarship.

I just finished reading THIS ARTICLE tracing the influences of Grimoire magick in European and American Folk Magic, particularly in the Aftrican Diaspora Religions (Hoodoo, Voodoo, Santeria, etc.). Really a great read for those interested in the Grimoire tradition. He makes some very compelling suggestions as to how practicing Magicians can use modern folk magic to piece together and better understand the sometimes incomplete European Grimoires.

To give you a flavor of the article, here is a comparison of the Goetic seal for Marbas and the Voodoo sigil for Loa Ibo...doesn't take a stretch of the imagination to see the similarities.

Agreed. I've been impressed myself (not perfect, but overall very well done)
plus, the Journal is great . . . hope that can keep getting good articles.

The Marbus connection make one wonder about the nature and relationship of demons (entities) . . .
Too bad Fr. Alastor's page is down . . . he went into more on the voodoo / geotia idea.
