here's a new one i'm sure.
so back when i used to read the hagakure(the book of the samurai) there was a quote:
It is a good viewpoint to see the world as a dream. When you have something like a nightmare, you will wake up and tell yourself that it was only a dream. It is said that the world we live in is not a bit different from this.
i knew when i first read this that it was profound but i didn't know HOW profound it was until recently.
i pose this to you readers out there in cyberspace... is it not possible that the universe is mental and that you create your own existence in the process of believing you are INDEED alive? is it not possible that if viewing the world as you would a dream you will be able to achieve anything and everything you ever desire? Is it ALSO not possible that in relaxation everything is possible, the best example i will give to this is 2 examples of balance between activity and relaxation, both exercises of some sort:
the first of this exercise example- parkour. to those unfamiliar in this day and age with parkour a quick overview:
parkour is a activity also known as free running, rediscovered by Georges Hébert’s who taught his students the modern style to help them out with "Moral Requirments" i.e. if a house is burning how to get the hell out in the fastest possible way. parkour is basically treating your world as a set of jungle gyms in a really cool way (sorry to real parkour people out there i know it's simplistic but it's true). it requires a focused mind, relaxed stretched body, and the guts to go for whatever goal you have set. the basic premise i want to convey though is, most parkourist who have been doing it for years at least will tell you that there is nothing hard to it once you get it, in fact it's not even second nature as much as it just was there. there are many styles to parkour because there is not much set, it's all in how YOU approach it, and that is why it is widely growing popular and soon to be everywhere
the second exercise you will have to forgive me on, but humor me anyway:
drunken style martial arts. Yes jackie chan did show us a world that does exist lol, drunken style martial arts actually do exist and require the lucidness of your body that you would have while drunk, sober. in fact, they teach you everything while sober, obviously, but get you meditatively in a trance as if one was drunk or lightly buzzed. it's a great work out and requires that your body totally relax and be prepared for anything.
i state these things to say this, maybe there is something to the relaxation of thinking of life and daily life as a dream, i know whenever i do it it makes my days go a tad bit better. who knows just stating that maybe in the relaxation of everything you can bend easier to life's winds as a branch does to the wind blowing
think about it
