My boss seems to attract nothing but negative karma to herself, and I think I have possibly been infected with her bad vibes.

She was just in a car accident and her car got totaled. I can honestly say that this was not her only car accident this year. On the road, she is constantly paranoid, and she is FULL of road rage. She honks at people a lot, she flips them off, she's just all around rude to other drivers, because they may slow her down when she is in a rush. The day after her accident, she was working with me. She was on the phone for 30 minutes with her friend, BSing, while I was in the back seat. And we almost got hit twice.

The icing on the cake is her neighbors. Now, I know her neighbors are TERRIBLE people. They are. Trust me, there are many witnesses as to their behavior and why it is extremely terrible and they are very, very bad people. I decided to suggest that she should move in with her best friend. The reason as to why is because her friend has a douchebag tenant that she was evicting soon for violating their personal space and being a rude sociopath. I suggested it as a good option, because she is the type to pay her rent on time, and that's all she would need to do to stay on her good side.

"Oh no, that would be too awkward."

So she won't move in. She's managed to convince herself that her neighbors are hexing her (somehow, I don't freaking know) and she's going to use sage in her apartment and get a karma cleanse, not realizing she is an active participant in her life and totally could have made a better decision to not deal with them anymore that was totally rational instead of assuming the worst from her neighbors who probably don't even deal in the occult. I don't understand where she came up with this conclusion, an there's no evidence to support it, really. I know it definitely doesn't hurt, though, but still. She was talking a lot about moving out and has decided not to do so, which baffles me.

How does this relate to me? Well, I perceive things a lot more negatively than before, attract a lot of negative things to me now, and I've been depressed, in physical pain, and feel like crap after dealing with this. People around me have become more negative. Bad things keep happening to me. I have even gotten physically hurt. I feel drained every time I speak to her. I feel as if dealing with this job has attracted negative things into my life merely by associating with her. This did not happen before I was hired. Did she somehow transfer her negativity to me? Did she somehow cling to me, and I've become affected by what she attracts to her as a result of her actions?

Look, I like this person. She's not a bad human being and makes sure I can afford the basics in my life and not struggle. She just makes poor decisions due to poor judgement. This is someone who genuinely cares for me as a human being. But I can't help but wonder that something is going on. What can I do about this, other than quit an otherwise emotionally fulfilling job? Do I use magick, or do I just talk to her?

Thanks, guys.

You are not taking on her negative karma. That much is certain enough. Her karma is hers.

More likely you are just empathetic, and letting yourself get too emotionally affected. Having a negative attitude, tends to cause you to focus on the negative things in life, and notice them more. So in a sense she hasn't so much transferred negativity as you have taken some negativity from her - shared it is a better concept. Entered resonance, even, as it's not really a matter of some 'substance' being 'spread out' between you. Resonance. Instead, find resonance with something positive and higher than both of you, and if she is lucky or aware, then she may begin to resonate the same way that you entered resonance with her.

Just talk her, do a little cleansing work together if you like, and if you are close to her that way. But you always have an option to either bring something more positive in, or cut the negativity off.

peace

I might jump in here if i may..

While true, it's not to say one persons negative karma can't effect other people, typicaly thats often how karma makes it's effects.
I've been cursed a few times, my protection is personaly very good but i've found that instead of hurting me personaly, negativity jumps to those around me, i had to do an extra round of protection for all my loved ones, general inocence and the situational effects to truly be safe from it all.. Mirrors an whatnot don't always point the way they came..

It's a sad truth but emotional entanglement can an dose make lots of kinds of magick jump ship.. Not to worry though, it's simple enough to bypass.
Simply being aware of the problem is enough to temporarily negate it, you'll automaticly stop empathising with the negativity.
It's not a great long term solution though, your best bet is to help her in a more definitive manor, house cleansing is good, so is some protection symbolism.
The main problem is her seeing her life as separate from the lives of everyone in her life.

A witche's bottle is a timeless classic, for you an for her.
Even if her neighbors aren't practitioners dosn't mean they can't hex with their attitude/bitchiness an actions, it might even be the case that their presence in the building almost represents the anger in her soul.. So bind them with caution an flexability, we all need to be able to get angry at the right times.

It's probably worth saying that if she is flinging bad vibes about, it's not that she's a witch, it's that life is difficult, i've seen similar things happen to lots of people an each situation is different, you will likely have to decide yourself what's best as us 'people on the internet' aren't going to know all the in's an out's of this situation.. it's hard lessons, you should learn what you can from how it unfolds, it may help you a lot in the long run to have a little experience of what it's like on the dark side.. Most people get stuck in a negative rut once in a while.

Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, guys. One of the bigger reasons as to why I asked if I should use magick is because if I were to do anything on her behalf and it backfires, when I already attract negativity to me...that's not a good thing. Not a good thing at all.

Trust me, I've had a lot of bad, dark experiences in my life. I know what it's like to be in a rut. I'm starting to think that her interpretation of events in her life, as well as her reaction to the problem, is also what is causing the problems she is facing.

Use magick to remove the obstacle to action already under way, and it will never backfire. Magic tends to 'go wrong' or give us what we didn't realize we were asking for, mainly when we focus on using it to accomplish something directly, instead of understanding what it is that prevents us from getting on our own what it is that we want.

Use magick if you want, but plan a course of action first, one that takes place under ideal circumstances. You can identify obstacles by the fact that in those circumstances, they are the things that get in the way, which would have to be out of the picture for the plan to unfold properly.
