And know that the MINU of ENKI is powerful against these, but against all Operations of Demonic character, and some of these may be rendered fruitless thereby. Therefore it must always be hid.
Know that GELAL and LILIT are quick to come at Calling, and invadeth the beds of Man, robbing the Water of Life and the Food of Life in which to quicken the Dead, but their labours are fruitless for they do not have the formulae. But the Priest has the formulae, and the Food of Life and the Water of Life may be brought to call many, for after the passage of one-tenth of a Moon the Elements are dead.
And GELAL invades the bed of a Woman, and LILIT that of a Man, and sometimes evil beings are born of these hauntings, and as such must be slain, for the children of GELAL are workers natural of the ANCIENT ONE, having His Spirit; and the children of LILIT are likewise, but are born in secret places which may not be perceived by Man, and it is not until the time of their maturity that such as these are given to walking in the places of Men.
And GELAL rideth upon the Wind, but oftentimes LILIT cometh of the Water. Which is why running Water must be used in the Rites, because of the cleanliness thereof.
And the Sign of GELAL is thus:

And the Sign of LILIT is thus:

New2theOccult emailed me about a Vampire thread in which I recommended Lilith to help develop vampiric powers. Of a psi vampire nature. Due to the depth and danger of this operation I decided to start a new thread. Certainly Lilith a Demi Goddess or ??Demon?? deserves her own thread. It is forbidden in the Necronomicon to call her. Having passed Ganzir really helps in this operation. I am also going to stress the importance of using the Minu. I do not recommend this for anyone who is just beginning with the Necronomicon. The Urilla text is not something to be taken lightly. Basically this is making a pact. Ordinarily I feel it is stupid to make a pact with a spirit. However I have never experienced anything negative in working with Lilith and she did uphold her end of the bargain. Although I refused to worship her.

And so I do not want to be held responsible for anyone who calls this spirit and has a bad experience.

I suggest that any calling setup outside of the Necronomicons guidelines is foolish when working with this spirit. A nice sacrifice and healthy dose of respect will go a long ways also. I regard this spirit as a Demi Goddess more powerful than the spirits of the Goetia.

You were warned!

The Minu of Enki is not published in the Necronomicon. I have received several different types of Minu. One appropriate for protection during these operations I will scan and post a photo in this thread. You will see that this Minu in particular consists of two back to back Agga signs. The way this Minu appeared in my mind was spinning like a top. Know also that this is the sign of a great guardian. Again nothing which I am writing about the Minu is contained in the Necronomicon. This was revealed to me after exploration of the gate The Mad Arab called Arzir Gate.Pg 6.

Make the Minu on the full moon and hide it. Do not ever let daylight touch the seal. Only pull it out if you get into trouble. The problem is that you will have to banish your Bandar before calling Lilith. Do not make the mistake of breaking the covenant in front of the Bandar. Bandar might turn on you if you do so. Or he might simply prevent Lilith from being conjured. At any rate if he does not turn on you and she does come then it’s a fight waiting to happen. So give Bandar the night off is my suggestion.

Lilit is a great female Akhkharu spirit. Gelal is a great male Akhkharu spirit. Akhkharu = Astral Vampire. It is only natural that the calling should be done toward your sexual preference. Which is why I have direct knowledge with Lilith and only a text book knowledge of Gelal. However I am fairly certain that Gelal works exactly as Lilit. If any soul is is brave enough to work with Gelal directly please post your experience here.

I suggest making the seal of Lilit on the New Moon or black moon. And that it be put away so that sunlight does not touch it until the time of calling. However you can simply consult your local newspaper to find out when the moon is not present in the night sky. The seal will be functional if it is made when the moon is on the other side of the Earth. Just as the Scorpion Man can be summoned outside of the New Moon in like manner.

Take a new bowl. On this bowl write the sign of Lilit. Burn the Agga Mass Ssaratu. On the burning bread pour honey.

Lilit great hand maiden of Ininn I call to thee hearken and remember!
Lilitu owl which haunts the tree in the garden of Inanna I call to the hearken and remember.
Lilith the first wife of Adam great vampire of the Hebrews I call to the hearken and remember!
Lilit mother of the race of vampires I summon thee!
Come to me by the power of my sacrifice and the power of my blood spilt upon your seal!

Cut your left hand and drip some blood on the seal.

You did not think you were calling the mother of the vampires without spilling some blood did you? Don’t worry there are no major arteries in the fleshy side of the hand. Just be careful not to lop off a finger as this can lead to typing inaccuracies. And you will never play the piano again!

What happens next? Lets just say that Lilith will take you under her wing if she deems you worthy.

Enjoy!

Great post Edunpanna. Just one question with regards to this. How likely are the Eldar Gods going to abandon someone who summons a being from the Urillia text like Lillith?

In my mind it is doubtful that they will abandon you simply for calling Lilith. Lets remember that at one time Lilit was the servant of Inanna. This spirit is much more border line or closer to neutral than the other spirits of the Urilla.

I once wielded the Urilla to good effect but it proved my own undoing. In a short period of time my life was turned inside out and I found myself wandering as a vagabond just as The Mad Arab described in the first part of the testimony. Was this punishment by the Elder Gods? Or was it because I had evil eggs which I planned to hatch? Could the Urilla be used safely if not done with evil intent? Possibly but before passing Ganzir and coming to terms with the hellish Queen Ereshkigal it would be extremely foolish.

Sorcery is in large part self transformation. After the physical spanking I received for my astral ambitions with the Urilla I was one step closer from stepping out of the darkness and trying to do things in the light for a change. So in that the Urilla helped in my spiritual development.

Dangerous waters yes but perhaps worth swimming in if you can avoid all the sharks! Also forget not the monsters of the deep spawned by Tiamat in ages forgotten!

I believe that anyone with courage can work safely with Lilith without passing Ganzir. Courage she will respect. I would compare her much more to the Neutrality of The Scorpion Man Akrabu than to the spirits of the Urilla. The Scorion King scoffs at fear but will be most helpful if spoken to with the heart of the warrior priest. However Gelal I only know in comparison to my workings with Lilith. So an extra word of caution concerning him.

The Elder Gods have not abandoned me for my past workings. However I have never worshiped an Ancient One nor served the Ancient Ones in any way. My allegiance has always lay with my master Enki for he has ever been my source of strength and inspiration.

Peace!

Greetings!
Please tell your avid followers about the inherent dangers of consorting with Lilith. She also is representative of a Qlippoth and is deadly beyond normal ken. We have a responsibility to inform the public in a whole way. Impressionable people new to the occult often view Vampirism in a romantic way...not realizing that it can lead to some fairly obnoxious results unless one knows of the dangers involved.

There are very good reasons for some of these grimoires and occult texts having warnings of madness, etc. attached to them. Too many occultists are looking for a 'quick' fix to power. Many have some rather serious mental problems which are not being addressed or even examined. Regardie himself reccomends that people entering the occult arena to be psychoanalyzed before embarking on this field(s) of study. That isn't always an option... but do make sure that your head is on straight before dedicating ones life(force) to another! I don't subscribe to the majority of views about consorting with demons or even other spirit-like entities but I do urge caution and a bucketload of common sense before wading into unknown waters. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/diablo.gif)

Research your subject well and ask yourselves the hard questions first! Good Journey! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Greetings'bym,

I think I have warned pretty thoroughly the dangers of this operation already. For what its worth I will say it again. Lilith is extremely powerful. Undertake this only if you are already very experienced in the ways of magick. I do not recommend this for beginners.

Also we should appreciate the words of BYM on this subject as he has been practicing magick longer than most of us have been breathing.

I usually do not comment on Urilla but enough people are asking me about Lilith for me to think that this thread could be useful to some who have the experience to work with this type spirit.

Peace

It would be very wise for anyone endevouring to work any part of the Urilla to have passed through the gate journey first. Only after the Magickian or Priest has stared the dread abyss in the face will he/she be able to work these forces without being immediantly corrupted by them.

Greetings brother Edunpanna..
i encountered a being such as this Lilith while i was in Inanna's realm.She was this servant type of Inanna who seemed really angry sort..she was hissing at me and she had vampire like fangs.She turned into this huge owl sort creature and i was allowed a ride on her by the grace of our queen inanna..they both prolly took pity on me for doing stupid stuff n all..lol..

i agree,the text of the ancients shudnt be taken lightly and even a crazy guy like myself would never dream of using it.Peace..

Greetings 'OmNamaShivaya,

The Owl is indeed the calling card of Lilith. I think she is very comparable to Kali. At least in my mind they have a lot in common!

Peace

Hello there Edunpanna..Are you someone who has pledged allegiance to one of the sumerian gods?the goddess eeyanna perhaps?you seem to really know your stuff.You are correct about Lilith being very close to Kali.its a direct comparison to the great goddess durga who is the queen mother with her lion as her mascot who has as her handmaiden the goddess kali.in a similar the goddess eeyanna also is the queen mother and has her lion as her mascot in her warlike presence,and she has lillth as her handmaiden,or at least used to be that way.

Greetings Rishi,

Yes I do serve the Gods of Sumer. I had a vision about Kali being Lilith a long time ago. Inanna is my Goddess. Inanna’s Hindu counterpart is Durga?

I have actually made many connections between the Gods of Sumer and of India. I think we should start a thread on that here in the Nec forum.

So far with the help of Mystick.

Brahma = Anu
Vishnu = Enki
Shiva = Marduk

Ganesh = ZIku

In another thread perhaps I will give my reasons for these conclusions.

Any more info on Kali as she relates to Lilith?

Peace

it would be nice if someone could start a thread as u cal it on hindu comparisons to sumerian gods.

well edun,i have met both kali and lillith and they are both very similar.Firstly both are handmaidens of the greatest goddess in their religion.secondly when i called upon them,both of them had dark skin,they also came when called fully naked.They both also have fangs to the sides of the lips.They are both very ancient entities.and both of them have a liking for blood,with lilith with her vampiric qualities and kali with her great taste for blood,especially that of demons.

For all their similarites both did appear to me in slightly different forms but that might have been due to me using different systems to call them.I would say they are extremely similar and if they arent the same they most probably ae from a very distinct race of entities separate from the sumerian dieties or hindu dieties but of a race that serves the higher divinities.

I believe that this is quite a good post. Personally, I have been a natural psychic vampire for a while. Nothing drastic, just small things. This post was immediately interesting for me. This is something i will definitely look into. The only other books I know of that truly go over Lilith are the books by Michael Ford. Again, great post. Thank you very much for it.

This is interesting, though I'm curious. I've been able to practice different forms of energetic vampirism without the actual problem of it (withdrawal, a lack of internal energy et cetera). I've worked with what you seem to describe as Gelal. It was a pretty strange relationship. He isn't exactly like LIlith at all, which I've definitely worked with. Just, more, why vampirism when you can just you know for example, sleep 8 hours, or eat some high carb foods and such.

lilit refers to a *type* of proto-sukkubus wind maiden. lilitu is the plural form of that word, and was the word for 'storm' (ie- a bunch of lilit's having a wild time) a suffix "u" is a plural suffix in the sumerian era cuniform.

That said, much later on, in babylon (same area, just thousands of years later) "Lilitu" had come to be personified as a singular proper pronoun, the name of a 'storm goddess'. So there is cultural drift of meaning over time here. Lillith is very likely originally based on or modeled after Lilitu. Although 'most' of our lore regarding Lillith comes from the alphabet of ben sira, which is a comparatively modern european text (800AD) and as such is of questionable value in interpreting much older lore. Sort of like the keys of solomon don't have a lot to do with solomon, but have a renaissance period origin vastly distant from ancient hebrew mysticism.

and just a cautionary note to those who may be interested in Lillith... in bringing up Lillith with "vampirism"... it is worth being very cautious not to be influenced by the mythology of vampire role playing games. these games often do look for actual mythological basis of some sort, to lend their game an air of realism, but do be careful not to mix them. (this isn't directed at anyone in the thread, just a general pointer to readers of the thread)

I basically agree.
to answer the question at the end, I think that yes sleep can infuse one with more 'chi' etc. in fact i think it is an important part of the sleep process. but I do not feel that everyone is able to come by chi naturally, in sufficient amounts.
basically what you did, was take energy without needing to, which i would call a "drain", but I wouldn't say that makes you a psychic vampire, because for a psychic vampire "need" is definitive (and limiting).
the only other part of the definition is that they do, consciously or unconsciously, take energy form others via metaphysical means. (which actually excludes whiny people who bask in attention btw)

why not take energy from other sources? compatibility issues are the most likely culprit to answer that. but beyond those 2 key definitive bits, psychic vampires do vary somewhat in most other details. like why the need? or exactly how the feed? etc. So compatibility problems is only the most likely reason. it would also explain the original need to a degree.
