Book of sigil's & Talismans
Greetings! I am new here to "SM" and wanted to share an idea that came across my mind just the other day, but first let me give some background on my study and practices. For (10) years I would have been deemed an armchair magician for the simple fact that I wanted to get as much understanding about the psychology and psychological effects of the art. My chosen areas of study include but are not limited to Hermetics, Alchemy, Buddhism, Taoism, Demonology, with a stronger graviton towards a Greek Hellenistic mindset. Extended but not devoted research and knowledge in ceremonial magick such as Enochian, Kabbalah, and Solomonic. I am more than familiar with the works of Crowley, Bardon, Osman Spare <3, Hine, Carrol...etc I love them all but I'm sure we could all due without the massive overbearing ego of Crowley but the man knew his s#!t... I've done very little in physical aspects of the art other than simple divination with the use of the Tarot and Pendulum (which work horrifyingly well) and basic sigil's. So now to the meat if my idea. I've been contemplating the creation execution and delivery of a personal magikal tool anyone could create. Here's my idea. A book of sigil's and talismans that can be used on the spot.
Example: You have a small sketchbook (a moleskin would be perfect) with dozens of sigil's and talisman created in them, they've all been charged and under each sigil or talisman you write in vague code the instance you'd need it.
In depth Example: Now the most difficult part for this to work and still work as a subconscious imprint for the intention would be to make the book in a chaotic pattern this would be a long process. Create the sigil's separate from the notebook first, Under the sigil write what use this could be used for. Then forget about them for a while and leave them alone for a month or so, then transfer them over to the book and charge them. You may have an idea about what some of them mean but you couldn't possibly consciously know but your subconscious remembers.
Picture this example: You need luck for a test. You open the book and say you find a sigil that says "Cerebral Clarity" you know what that implies but do you know the detail of what your subconscious has absorbed from it?
It's not perfect idea and needs more work but I hope someone gets my idea and maybe would like to work with me or give some ideas on the subject.
