Trying To Find A Book... Options

Does anyone know any books which deal with the "nature of the soul"? Or are based on the description of the soul?

I've been interested in learning about the nature of the soul, yet cannot find any written information on that.

In regards to the "Nature of The Soul" I think it is important to remember that for every Religion there might be a varied idea of the 'Concept' of the constituent parts and nature of the aspects of the soul.

I would however recommend a few books as sources or refernce that I have found as good starting points for such a study.

The first is "The Middle Pillar" The Balance Between Mind and Magic by Israel Regardie. In "The Middle Pillar" in the second chapter called 'The Tree of Life' it describes the Seven Aspects of the Soul as believed by the Hebrews and which corresponds to Qabalistic Teachings.

In Aleister Crowley's "Liber 777" you will find in the Magickal Correspondence Section of the Book a listing of these same Seven Aspects of the Soul as believed by the Hebrews.

The third source I would list as a refernce comes from a slightly different Religious and Spiritual Perspective. It describes the Constituent Parts or Aspects of the Soul as believed by the Ancient Egyptians, and this book is called "The Egyptian Book of The Dead" translated by E.A. Wallis Budge.

All three of these sources may be compared, and you may find as I have that many of the corresponding Aspects or Parts of the makeup of the Soul as described in each source have a very similar undercurrent or belief.

Maybe this will help..Of course a little sifting will be in order but i think i know what ur after..My Favorite "The Structure and Dynamics Of The Psyche" by C.G Jung really explains it well,next "A Treatise Of Human Nature" by David Hume.."An Elementary Textbook of Psychoanalysis" by Charles Brenner and last had some tid bits of information was "Magic: The Principals of Higher magic" by Karl von Eckartshausen...one thing i have learned Demons are absolute masters of human nature so they know us better than we can ever know them(just my opinion off-course)...if u can be more specific maybe i can help?

Deathstalker...Save ur $$ some of these materials u can find in the public library..if not go to ur local occults bkstore and do some free reading..20yrs ago before i had the $$ i use to carry around a dictaphone and just record my findings then write out the materials when i got home..LOL..

I have to agree with the above. The request needs narrowed down more. My soul is a combination of the mustard seed , astral,energy, and of course also a link to all. I think if you find what you feel is right that can only be the best answer. By the way mustard seed covers this but its also a part of true divinity.

You cannot find anything written on the soul? or maybe you mean in book form. There is a lot of stuff around but because the soul is hard to define completely and depends which path or religion you are coming from, lots of stuff on it skirts around and talks about effects on it rather than the soul itself.

I suspect it hard enough to find answers to such an ambiguous question as the soul, but I guess we form our own philosophies on the matter.

well ... its not perhaps what you are looking for, but i just finished participating in an interesting project around this topic, it was called "draw your soul" ... www.drawyoursoul.org ... an international artistic endeavor ... a different view of an answer to that question, perhaps.
