The Sleeping King, from Gates of the Necronomicon Options

I came across a term in Simon's Gates refering the the sleeping King....is that the King of the Underworld, a guardian, or what? it mentions opening the gate when the King is asleep.....can anyone help me with this? And can gates exist all around, its just in the perceving of them, and in perceving them can one open them?

I would have to read it to be sure - but the sleeping king refers to Kingu ( Qingu ). He was slain and now sleeps within man's blood. He can be summoned if one knows how, since as man is the key to open the gate

Yes gates can exist all round ( the circle). The Covenant circle of the Zodiac, which has many gates.
But the master gate is locked and cannot be opened unless again one knows how. The master gate is on a time lock which has to be overridden.
