QUOTE(arkham @ Sep 13 2010, 09:28 PM) *offering a basket full of ethereal light as a friendly compensation*
What about the temple structure? Is it in a good stable form when you guys spend time there? Did anyone here prepare the temple before that last meeting?... Because if I'm not mistaken, that construct haven't been used for awhile... the temple's energy form might not be as solid or constructed enough if no one prepare and maintain it before the meeting, and in a way, might make the journey to reach the temple a little more difficult for some
Good point. I did check out the temple before hand using the sigil (the same way I got there for the event) and had a little trouble with finding the door. But I am not too good at using other peoples things so I figured that it was just me. Now that you bring it up, there was some concern about the temples condition but I stopped well short of doing a brick by brick tally as it where. I'll go latter this week and see how stable it all seems. Apart from that I will likely have to talk with some of the mods who help build/design the thing in the first place to tell how much its held up. Also, ethereal light is much welcomed. QUOTE(monkman418 @ Sep 13 2010, 09:56 PM) I'm not sure how practicing getting into the astral, and interacting in the astral, is analogous to cutting potatoes with an anthem. If some of us can't see in the astral, and some of us have never met anyone else in the astral, why is practicing going there a waste? Multiple people are now claiming they couldn't even make it because this first step was too much! Yet putting down the attempt as hollow and unworthy of the temple is okay? Really? Why not just tell all beginners that their efforts are pointless and unfit to be called magick? Not a wolf, not quite. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif) Well something with a spicky main and long mussel. Hehe. Ok so the pain killers for my thumb might have made the analogy seem less strained than it was- more so because the word my groggy brain was groping for was athame. However, I tend to find value in what people way even if it is worded harshly. Bb3 made a good point, and in my view at least, it did not minimize the efforts of those that attempted to make it to the temple. He only called our attention to a point of magical form. In general the equivalent of a meet and greet is not the sort of thing one does in a temple. (church groups and secular Jews aside.) I lot of effort was put in to the temple, and to be sure a lot of effort was spent getting us there, but it was rather chaotic. Which is to be expected of course, many of us - myself included - don't do much astral work. That being said, something more formal is a good idea. It will help guide our collective intent and make the flux of the temple interior more solid as well as being more respectful of the beings who live there. I like the name ring, so perhaps we could work more on that. I have been pocking around the old posts and it seems I missed something. As it turns out we have an angel librarian "Samandiriel" which I believe was included, as well as what a number of people called a presence - possible guardian. As far as the old records go the inside seems very mailable, likely do to not being part of the ritual that made the temple. The temple was constructed to facilitate communication and harbor knowledge. I suggest incorporating these elements into the next trip. I like to think of AP as a type of guided meditation, so for anyone who had trouble getting there last time, try to meditate on the sigil before hand then use the shaman method described above to get to and enter the temple. Don't worry about how things are right now, just imagine them clearly you will AP without even noticing it. Like all magickal secrets the big deal is finding them out, one you do see they are not so impressive after all. After entering the temple put on some distinctive out fit so we can identify each-other easier, then go down the hall to a large chamber lit by torch light, head to an alter at the back of the room and offer some incense and wine to your patron if you have one, then to the temple spirits respectfully asking they help you in communicating. Samandiriel in particular, who is associated with creativity, art and expression, should be included in the offerings. After the offerings, head to the middle of the room and form a circle, at witch point we thank the temple spirits and proceed to give our names. (I should clarify that my names I mean the particular vibrations that one associates with ones self and the correlated sounds). After everyone has had a turn we can go, our try to make contact one on one. I think one on one is best in such a flexible environment, less static that way. QUOTE(shadyelshafie @ Sep 14 2010, 12:45 AM) Hmm, I didnt make it in time, But I managed for 4-6 minutes, I saw a temple by a lake side, and i remember seeing only 1, A Orange-Yellowed Haird guy xD
Well that makes two sightings of someone with odd hair. I am of the opinion that regular practice is the best way to develop skills in anything. So I vote that the next meeting take place on Saturday at 2100 hours EST. This post has been edited by fatherjhon: Sep 14 2010, 12:50 AM

QUOTE(monkman418 @ Sep 13 2010, 07:16 AM) I'm sorry that you find our astral meeting so pointless and laughable. Perhaps you've done a lot of work in the astral, in which case-- congratulations! Many people here are just beginning to work with the astral, and I think it is extremely poor taste for you to make these comments when just getting to the temple is a big deal for some of us. I think if you took a little more than the 30 seconds of self-gratifying didactic mockery that you did with this thread, you'd see that this was very clearly stated as the purpose of the meeting to begin with. Shame on you Bb3 for raining on a good, all inclusive parade.
LMAO! watch out Monkman with talk like that I could learn to love you (IMG: style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif) why don't you reread my post with a critical eye, as I'm actually applauding you for your undertaking... Now instead of acting like a spoiled fifteen year old girl who can't have the man she wants why don't you man up grow some magical juevos (or hell, get some magical tetas for all I care) and organize another more guided trip. That way I can forgive you for talking smack behind my back only because I dared to advise your leadership. Hear me out my rustler of the serene, sirocco wind, this is no criticism, rather a goal to do even more than what your doing, this isn't a call out, rather a call to arms, do more! Go farther! Know that the only thing holding back thy path is thyself. Alright, now as Father John has stated eloquently, the beauty of this temple is that you can project to it without a problem, just lie back and go, don't worry about leaving your body, no longer do we live in that age where dreams are the only power. Relax and let go into and let images arrive, another fantastic concept is hit upon, to each choose a symbol to represent yourself, clothing yes clothing, in fact post it in advance so that you will be known! Do not fear for the upkeep for the the temple does like to appear as if it has suffered greatly, don't let it fool you! This post has been edited by Bb3: Oct 17 2010, 08:00 PM

You take long breaks my friend. And whats this about the temple fooling me? Do you mean that all the work I've been doing there was not strictly needed? I like the idea of cloths for identification. I've done a little work with group astral travel before and the hardiest part is getting across more than "here is a vague figure." Cloths are clean universal symbols that amusingly are relatively simple to identify based on how much (or little) they cover and where. Nice thought. I will call dibs on a white floor length cape to mimic the one I have on this plane. By the by, about three weeks ago I was in the temple and someone dropped in. Was that one of us from the last group meet?

On the contrary your work reminded me of the happenings, it's true there's a guardian, an overseer, perhaps more than what you would believe... on occasion you'll meet a beggar, who in all actuality has riches beyond compare, that beggar will ask with an open heart for more money, should you offer up the last of what you possess it's then that that beggar shall reveal to you the true wealth of what there lies. Does that make sense?
As for people dropping by the temple, I feel there are a few presences that have gone over to that place, they have made their home there in a way, as it is their home it may be them 'blowing the curtains' as they would say.
