Hello wise ones:

It's been really hard for me to join this website, for some reason had to wait about 2 weeks and then had to redo everything and it did worked the second time.

Anyways, Its good to be here.

Let me talk a bit about myself and how and why I joined this place.
I was born with my eyes open and I'm a Wizard at heart. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wandwizard.gif)

Ever since I was I child I've been always searching for this "other world" because I knew it existed beyond mirrors or outside in the garden. I used to play it and felt it closer than ever. The goal was to find this "special key" in order to unlock the secret door into the "other world". In the end I found the key but not the door. Later... I lost the key. (No this is not a Kingdom Hearts reference or inspiration story, it really was like this even before I got to play those games and felt identified). I'm sure I'm not the only one though, who knows.

While on my younger ages I was always looking for subjects about Magic and the power of the mind such as Metaphysics and Mind Control and Psychic stuff.

While I was around my 18's I began to read more about Philosophy and Magick. Sometimes I felt very confused and decided to leave it behind me, but no matter what I did it always reached my and placed me back on track, because of the omens.

It's been very hard for me since I come from a Christian family background and was raised that way.
Have had the worse battles with my parents because of the subjects I love to study and learn. Sighs...

The last recent years I've met a few guides and perhaps sort of mentors, but in the end they didn't helped me at all, it was the contrary, more trouble than anything. To the point where I got accused of stealing oils from a "magic store".

Now I'm alone in this journey and decided to do everything as a solitary apprentice Wizard. So far It's been the best way to grow in this world of magick.
On this last days since I was alone I decided to try and see if there where any good website with a good and active forum about magick and here I'am.

I'm currently reading: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mf_bookread.gif)

"Grimoire for the Apprentice Wizard" by Oberon Zell-Ravenheart

"The Complete Magick Curriculum of the Secret Order G.B.G.: Being the Entire Study, Curriculum, Magick Rituals, and Initiatory Practices of the G.B.G (The Great Brotherhood of God)" long title* by Louis T Culling and Carl Llewellyn Weschcke.

And I'll be ordering soon: "Modern Magick: Twelve Lessons in the High Magickal Arts" by Donald Michael Kraig

I'm also heading the path of "Saint Germain".

Recent practices:

I only did the LBRP a long time ago, because well... gotta be honest here, I don't like to do rituals because I don't feel it is correct.
I've had several experiences in lucid dreaming and perhaps even a past life experience (not sure though).
I've seen the light in this experiences, I thought I might have been an Astral experience.
I've heard my higher self speaking to me in this experiences.

Most recent practices I've been working on, is developing my Personal Magick Journal or (Book of Shadows) and my Dream Journal and a little of Yi-King and meditations.
That's pretty much about it.

Thank you.
If you have any questions. Let me know.

Welcome Harkadenn

You are not alone. Now you have hundreds of people within the forum who have similar interests. Mostly people here are friendly, and some are knowledgable and useful. You might find this or that person who has specialized in an area that is of great interest to you. It can be a good place to find fellowship, advice or useful contacts. But its nice to have people you can hang out with in cyberspace who you can be yourself with.

Don't worry. It'll only seem kinky the first time.

Welcome to sacred magick. Hope to see you around. This place can get quiet but there are always a few knowledgeable people who stick around and post.

Expect nothing, or you will get caught up in the future and not pay attention to the present. Just do the practice diligently, do it because you enjoy it, do it because you believe in it. Don't wait for results, don't wait for it to happen.

In that case, I do hope to find someone honest who can be able to guide me well.
Thank you very much.

These books will give you a foundation, and take the ego out of magic(k). Magick is making things happen when shouldn't in your benefit, there's no "other world" and to look for one is simply looking for an escape, a religion (or Dogma).

Robert Anton Wilson's
Prometheus Rising

Peter Carroll's
Liber Null and Psychonaut

If that's not what you're looking for then I'd suggest you find a nice comfortable inconsistent system of beliefs.

Not looking for any religions.

I've seen the Peter Carroll's
Liber Null and Psychonaut book but I don't think I should start reading on Chaos Magick just yet.

About the Robert Anton Wilson's
Prometheus Rising, no idea never heard of it, will take a look at it.

About the Ego thing, I was only concerned on why calling a demon in order to help you with the mission to destroy the ego. But this has been explained to me in many ways on my other posts.

Thanks though.
