But heres a thing...why do people think there is only gonna be one end of the world? I think there will be multiple ends. i mean, to be completely honest, the world reconstructs itself all of the time.
The end of one age; the dawn of another. Creation, birth, life, death, destruction, rebirth. It's the natural cycle of everything. All life dies eventually, and from death comes life. It is the endless wheel of destiny spinning through eternity, and man is just taking a dizzy ride on the flywheel through the ages.
Now this is slightly offtopic, but it relates. Some Hebrew and Christian scholars believe that there was a race on earth created before humans, though little is known of them. They were also thought to be ruled by Lucifer before his fall, because Isiah mentions Lucifer saying "I will raise my throne above the stars." Lucifer had to have a throne in the first place for him to actually try to raise it. It is also thought that this race was destroyed by a flood, but noone was spared from this one, after which God "moved upon the face of the waters" in Genisis 1:2 to recreate the earth.
Now this is just conjecture, but this pre-human society may have followed Lucifer when he rebelled, becoming today's demons. The number of angels that were created were actually far fewer than was originally thought, thus the number of angels that fell would also be fewer in number. The true angels that fell from Heaven itself became powerful rulers called Principalities that ruled over divisions of this fallen race, which would explain the numbers in the demonic ranks and the fact that there is such a chasm of a difference in power between regular demons and Principalities.
Also interesting to note is how similar this is to the story that the Muslims tell of the origins of the Djinn. The Djinn were created before humans and were made from fire the way man was made from clay. The Djinn also have 9 orders in which rulership is constructed like a pyramid; the few strong ones are at the top and the numerous weak ones are at the bottom. The descriptions of these orders is not unlike some of the things that some rabbis and Christian scholars theorize about the pre-human society ruled by Lucifer before his fall. For example, the descriptions of the Marid and Ifrit (the highest of the Djinn) are similar to the descriptions of powerful angels in the Bible and the fallen angels in Demonolitry.
I sense a common thread here...
Regardless, despite my long (IMG:
