Confusing Divination Results, Banishing Lust: a Bad Idea!? Options

A summary background on the matter: I am cursed with an absurdly persistent sex drive. Often its made even worse by magic that involves a lot of energy. So I decided that I would use magic to banish, or at least reduce, this unruly aspect of myself.

I always preceed my magical work with divinations to ensure that I don't do something harmful. This is where my confusion begins. EVERY divination on EVERY magical method of banishing my lust yields negative divination results, often displaying the inverted tower (indicating that it will either lead to disaster or it would be a disaster in itself). Finally I performed a divination simply on the intent to banish my lust. Again, I received a negative answer.

Excessive lust has been the single greatest thorn in my side throughout my entire life. I have no companionship (romantic or sexual) and presently the circumatances of my life don't leave me much opportunity to pursue it. That said I am having real difficulty grasping the spiritual logic behind keeping my lust around.

I am wondering what more experienced occultists would say on this issue.

Sex is natural, you should have it, but it shouldn't bother you in any way when you have it or when you abstain. Do your reading again and ask the cards for the story of how you integrate healthy sex into your live. Think all levels, from changing life circumstances to changing ideas about sex.

Outright banishing will be less helpful than it would seem as problems with sex are deeper than sex itself. Banishing the symptoms rather then the cause.

(you will masturbate and fail)
