Maybe Add A Forum? Options

So I had a discussion a couple months ago with another teenager on here and we both realized that occultist teens are few and far between.

So! For my suggestion, I would suggest the addition of a teen forum on here (maybe in the Esoteric Community section?). It's not essential, obviously, but it would be cool to have as a way for occult teens to meet each other - and it would attract more who google specifically for teen occultist forums. Thanks :-)

Not a bad idea. This bulletin board can probably be a little intimidating. Although doesn't the beginner forum sort of fulfill this function?

Not really :/ I mean another board isn't essential, but it's something i think would bring more attention to the site and would also become useful for discussing magick in the context of school, etc.

Hehe, I can see that happening, and to be perfectly honest I could have used that in my youth. Only issue is that the new board would function a lot like the Neophyte Hall, and attract a lot of fantasy witches who saw Charmed and decided they were powerful magick users. I realize that seems harsh and in truth it is, those that find this forum and then post here do so because they generally had trouble finding discussions about real magick elsewhere. While I think there are a lot of people who could benefit from it, I cringe at attracting the antics of people who are "in to" magic because they saw a movie.

That being said Ethereal Sight has a point. Because it is so hard to find Occultist teens you might consider a forum group where relevant ideas about magick get kicked around before posting on the main forum. That would cut down on the intimidation factor- though do we seem that mean? Perhaps, a sub forum in the Neophyte Hall to keep things tidy.

That might be a good idea but I don't know completely. I feel reminded of the Qabalah where people we're even allowed to learn it until they were a certain age and met requirements geared towards proving maturity. On a personal note I always get the feeling that no matter how hard I try, I am not going to be as successful as I should because of my age. If people come on young and try this stuff out, they might be more likely to get zero visible results they are looking for and then shrug it off as an option when they are older and might otherwise have considered magic as a path to follow. On the other hand it might generate more traffic for the community and really give the younger members a place to talk. That is just me talking out loud here. I don't want to seem like I am saying 'this is a bad idea' and shoot it down. I'm neutral on this to be honest.

It would be great to see some more young posters on this forum, but wouldn't a 'teen area' mean that older posters couldn't reply to the posts their?
People come to this place of all ages an stages of their development, we already have places for variants in experience
However i don't think that being discriminatory about age is an appropriate thing, younger one's I'm sure are treated with equal standing as things are.

BTW, Whats with the lack of a healing area? both for requests and for discussion, I'd say it's a must.
