I found really annoying to find so many fake archangels summoning spells is a total lack of respect for people that needs help.

They're more like unintended consequences than anything.

The backfire depends on what you're summoning, and the energies you're working with (entities), the style of your magick system (if you've got a system, or you could be dogmaless like a chaote)
and how you perform the ritual, or the consciousness work out

it can go from simply back luck to a horrible energy worn out, or just nothing at all
most of the time is just nothing at all and you will forget about the spell
but it is best to try it first and see for yourself.

some summonings won't work simply because you didn't believe enough in what you were doing

When you're performing a summoning, or a ritual, or pretty much any magickal act, it all depends on your consciousness state and the way you work with it

I wish it was easier, like in the astral plane haha, just a few words and BANG, you got your brain powered up

just try to exercise your consciousness and awareness, with yoga, kung fu, tai chi, or pretty much any physical/spiritual/mind art

The "Slingshot Effect" is a pattern of events that is supposed to follow an improper conjuration of spirits.

There may be plenty of other people who chime in on the subject, but the "Slingshot Effect" itself comes from the writings of J.C.Lisiewski, who as far as I know is the source and sole promoter of the idea.

The effect is described as having five distinct stages:

1. You get a pile of money.
2. You lose most of it.
3. You lose contact with someone important to you.
4. You meet someone new and interesting.
5. You regain a portion of the original money.

As irrelevant as all of that might sound to whatever you wanted to conjure, that is the substance of this effect which has been rather forcefully promoted by supporters of that author.

For my own opinion on the matter, which you can take or leave as you like, it is best to understand what you want to accomplish before seeking supernatural help in accomplishing something.

In more direct terms, make sure you actually want what it is you are trying to get, since you will be stuck with that once you have gotten it.
