Hello everyone I thought I would post and introduction, I've been watching the forum for a while but finally plucked up the courage and joined. I've been interested in magic for a few years initially via Led Zeppelin and also novels such as Shadowmancer and Wormwood by G.P Taylor. I've finally decided to change from an observer into a practitioner. I'm a Christian but I know that you lot are a tolerant bunch (hopefully (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif)) I'm interested in Ceremonial Magic that I can keep in accordance with my faith.
apart from magic and the such my interests include Indie rock (which keeps me going sometimes) gardening, watching films, conlanging and being friendly with friends.
p.s To start off I ordered a copy of Golden Dawn by Israel Regardie was this a good idea or a waste of £15? Hi Swynwyr
I'm also new to Sacred Magick, but I've been around the mysteries for a while so I thought I'd drop you a response. Being a Christian is quite cool, and there's a lot of options to explore for ceremonial magick.
Regardie's Golden Dawn is excellent, but very advanced for a beginner.Keep it though, you'll need it yet! You could check out the Rosicrucian Fellowship's Courses, They're downloadable for free-try Allen Edwal's Astrology site for easy to download ebook readers. You can also check out BOTA, Church of Light, Martinism and Samael Aun Weor's Gnostic Christianity site.
You'll find that there is intolerance in magick, as in everything else, but there's enough dreadful old pagans like me who realise that we're all working for the same Boss.Anyway, welcome to the magickal mystery tour and I wish you many hair-raisingly thrilling experiences
Boo!
