Candles In Necromantic Workings?, hand made,store bought,or none? Options

So I'm wondering.I never saw any candles mentioned in the Necro.and the question has come up.

In most work in the necronomicon, the agga mass is the only source of light during a ritual. If you need candles, the book will say so.

Two white candles are mentioned in conjunction with the nec. spellbook. That is an apparent exception by the author - in my experiences, I got better results using the agga mass in those cases as well, rather than the candles.

Well, first of allthe Necronomicon, despite the name, is not a book of necromancy, although it does have a ritual for speaking with the dead, and some of the fifty names can also carry messages to and from the dead.

That said, the Agga Mass Ssaratu (properly speaking) is the offering bowl of fire, used for virtually every ritual in the book - most importantly for the summoning and stationing of the Watcher, the guardian spirit of the Nec. Practitioner.

I suggest you read the book.

Do you mean like as in a brazier or censer?I use one already.
one is brass,the other iron,depending on what I'm doing.

The Agga Mass should be a new bowl, suitable for burning - I used an iron bowl in the past. There are instructions in the book for preparing it. It should be a bowl specifically consecrated and used for this purpose and no other. The watcher does not react well to a used bowl, take my word for it.
