I typically use the I Ching for divination, but a few days back, as I was browsing through a bookstore, I happened upon a tarot deck and immediately felt I had to have it. So I bought it, but when I opened the box I was a bit disappointed to find that it was a Marseilles deck, which doesn't have any illustrations on the minor arcana cards. Still, I feel like I'm supposed to have this deck. I spent some time reading up on interpretations of the cards when I found this article:

http://www.learntarot.com/journey.htm

It describes the major arcana cards and the order they appear in as a journey that the fool takes in order to attain enlightenment (The Sun) and fulfillment (The World). I find this idea very appealing for some reason. Is this a valid approach to the experience of enlightenment in the full sense of the word? And how would one go about path-working each card? I don't have any information on what path-working is or how it works, I've only found a few references to it on these forums.

Let me know what you think.

Could use them as Tattvas relating each to its position on the QBL.

Some schools recommend to draw your own, better for association.

I don't follow, could you elaborate a bit? Tattvas have to do with the elements, if I remember correctly? And what is the QBL?

I still don't know exactly how path working works, but I've been thinking about how I could 'experience' each card. From what I've read, each card holds a secret of some kind that the fool must learn on his journey. So maybe I could evoke the spirit of a card and interact with it, I could astral project to the realm of a card, I could spend some time meditating on a card, I could also use sigils to learn the lesson that each card holds, etc., but I'm just rambling now.
