Vampiric Stones Options

i use this clear quartz crystal to store energy but i can only store so much and id doesn't last as long as i would like and leaves me tired. i was wondering if i could make the stone itself a servitor of sorts, i see it as a stone that pulls all energy around it inside it and stores it for me to use later. would this work with this stone or should i use another stone.

when u store the energy, try a psych. vamp., technique described in the Psych. Vamp. Codex:
Take the energy, push it to your solar plexus, then swirl it around in a sphere. as it swirls, condense it into a penny sized ball, as you continue to add energy (either from around u or from yourself) you also continue condensing it down. eventually you'll see the swirlings as just a sheer black-hole-like substance. you can then place this in ur crystal or store it in yourself and it'll take up way less space. Its very helpful to empower shit to an extreme degree.

I suggest using a receptive stone like amythest..they tend to suck up all the energy around it,(when creating a wand put a small amythest (receptive) in the area where you hold the wand(therefore sucking energy from your hand) and a quartz crystal at the other side to send the energy to the Goal) .Experiment with your stone,see if others can feel that drain,put it near animals and try to notice any annoyance.

I noticed similar problems, well namely two problems, when trying to make for myself an energy-battery talisman. first, the amount of energy it would hold seemed limited. second, the energy would seem to leak out pretty badly. all in all, i found it to be a pretty inefficient way of storing energy. It's possible that I was myself unconsciously degrading the stored energy charge almost immediately after setting it down, as I used to have a pretty voracious appetite for energy, and a reflex for 'intake'. Actually I still have a voracious appetite for energy, it's just thoroughly 'sated' without tapping into people & things in my physical environment these days, but I digress.

(note: I think kranos's suggestion would work pretty well, the 'compression' and 'object permanence' aspects of the method would make the energy stay put pretty well I think. But I ended up finding my own solution )

anyway, i went in a radical new direction for energy storage. I astral projected to an 'empty' plane, and sealed it off (it responds to will/thought, and 'empty/blank' tracts of astral reality are very highly responsive, like a blank canvas). I filled it with a sort of substrate, such that any energy within it would be evenly distributed across the whole area (technically an infinite volume of space, in a finite slice of astral reality). So if you poked into the realm, and added energy, it would disperse evenly across the whole thing. conversely if you poked in, and withdrew energy, it would draw it up from across the whole expanse. I carefully sealed it off as a sort of 'pocket plane' and masked it's existence as thoroughly as I could, to avoid random vandalism/stealing. I then spent a long time filling it with a great deal of energy. Eventually I also piped in energy from a vampiric construct/servitor which I created when experimenting with cursing. it does a wonderful job of holding any amount of energy, and it never leaks. It is about 8 years old and still functions like new. Although I no longer use it as a personal energy resource, I do still occasionally use it to power a construct or something. It's one of my first astral constructs, and I keep it mostly for sentimental value.

Initially i tied the entrance to this pocket plane to a pendant necklace, but really that was just for 'style'. When the pendant became lost, I simply cut it's connection with my 'astral battery' and started just accessing the battery directly.

I found friendly double terminated quartz worked pretty well for me as storage. Leakage seemed to be prevented by short to medium length sun baths every day. i incorporated the crystal unobtrusively into my qi gong workouts, and it seemed to pick up a lot of juice.

I have no way of comparing the charge in it relative to anything else, though, so it may not have been enough of a charge to start worrying about leakage.

Well, luckily for you energy storage happens to be my favorite hobby, I am like a magical pack rat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/13.gif) . The first thing I would reccomend doing is becoming familiar with seals, atleast that is what I call them. They are alot like sigils, just set and forget enchantments that can be created to do anything. Most unrefined materials can hold a very limited amount of energy, what I mean by unrefined is that they have not been tempered by magics or enchantments.

Step one in creating an energy battery is to create a sigil, one made specifically to absorb and store energy inside something else, such as inside a rock, a stick, a person etc.. Do not be afraid to be too specific about what it will do and how, once you get the handle on making seals and sigils you will be able to trade them out at will, so if this one doesnt quite work right the first time, just make a new one.

Step two would be actually wrapping the seal/sigil around the object you want to store the energy. You dont have to do this physically, it can be done in your mind or with energy as easily as it can be done physically if not more so. What I recommend is to allow your subconscious to draw the sigil/seal onto the object with your energy, some seals become far to complicated to draw with conscious effort. The method I use is to sort of store the image in my mind, and when I wish to place it on something I raise my hand and see it fly out of my palm and wrap around the target, imbuing it with the power of the seal.

Step three is to imbue the object with energy, this time pour it in through the seal/sigil, you will find that it can hold many times its previous amounts, depending on what duty you gave to the enchantment (condenser,storage, or both).

The final step would be two fold, first "attach" the energy now stored inside the object, to the enchantment/seal/sigil, this will be the power source for the magic. It may sound stupid to say that you should use what you are storing to fuel the storage mechanism, but it is better than the problems an unpowered seal can produce (going caput and releasing all the stored energy at once). The second part is to attach the storage item to yourself, or yourself to it, so you can draw on the stored power even if you are very distant from it.

I'm just curious since the practice is pretty remote to me, but why are you giving your construct a physical anchor in this world? I recall hearing a saying you can't kill a living human if he doesn't have a body to kill. Does giving it a physical body-thing create constraints?
