Burning hands are excellent in healing work. I use my hands, which are always hot, even in Winter, to lay on headaches, sprains, muscle aches, arthritis, menstrual pain etc. My best effort was using my hands to heal a vomit-causing stomach bug in 2 and a half hours, as opposed to the 8-12 hours it takes to pass naturally.

Maybe have a look at www.psipog.com to read their exercises for energy manipulation, psi-balls etc.

Apart from the standard seven chakras (crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, centre and root), there are other "minor" chakras.

I personally am imbalanced. I have no centre chakra (I can hear a gasp from the energy-learned, but it's true), and overuse what should be minor chakras - my hands.

In fact, I almost always have my hands burning with ki - one 'cause it keeps my hands warm, and two 'cause it means I can react to things faster.

The value of an individual is not numerically assignable. Given the individual's infinite capacity to affect change (for better or for worse), it follows that their value is just as infinite. Logically then, not only are all individuals of equal value, but all possible combinations and groupings of individuals are of equal value, and finally, no matter an individual's past actions, their capacity to affect positive change is not diminished.

The value of the individual is sacrosanct, but actions must be directed in an effort to affect positive change.

That's an interesting point you make about using the fire to react faster... My only mode of transport is a motorcycle, and I find that I am able to react very quickly (as I need to, the car-drivers in my city are atrocious).

Well, having ki flowing freely through your hands means that your capilliaries open (which is why you feel warmer - the fiery sensation), and also activates your nervous reactions - and probably has some effect on the reflexive centres that connect to your hands.

In aikido, it's the way that you detect an incoming attack - by letting your hands blaze with ki, and projecting it towards your opponent. Means you react before they even start moving.

The only thing stopping me from practicing Aikido is the lack of a good school/dojo within decent travelling distance. My current motorcycle is a piece of poo, so when I get my new one later this year, I will be able to travel further afield.

There is a school on the southside of my city that teaches the Aikido that the Japanese Police use... It is the only martial art that truly interests me.

Ahh, well I'm lucky. In Canberra, there are... 4 seperate places where you can learn aikido, and 3 different organisations that teach it.

My sensei (John Turnbull Sensei) is the only one that properly teaches ki techniques though.

I'm tempted to see if I can do some ninjutsu on the side, because that's ki intensive too.

QUOTE(Sage of the ages @ Nov 18 2004, 05:39 PM)
if i can move my energy into my hand when casting will it help? B)

It's easy to do what you ask...

1/ Get a good hold on your Spirit, which be your Ego... by commanding your Ego to present itself to your consciousness every x-oclock... Choose that time well...
[I chose 7: oclock... which is a very bad time for a poor unsuspecting bible thumping JW to knock on my door... Would be like the fly landing oin the back of the spider, or like the fly that landed on the end of my cigarette... When they leave, they aren't sure how to even walk anymore... They must sit in the hall for 15 to 30 minutes to regain their sentience...]

2/ Create a duplicate (or backup) of your Ego, in the form of a tiny ball of light or fire...

3/ Simply move that little fireball to whatever part of your body you wish it to be...

Caution: Should a vial individual challenge you, at that particular "ego-oclock", you should try to hold back on the power output, or it is likely that you will permanently damage a living creature with your extreme output... which will most likely bestow serious negative Karmas upon your Being...
Be powerful, but be gentle...
It is wise to switch-on an audio recorder for that oclock, to catch whatever transpires...
You will be glad you did... You will knock your socks off...
Please tell me hat happened... I do so like a good power and magic story...

I have found in the past that moving energy into my hands when spell casting really helps.
I've even made an herbal "power" salve that I rub into my hands when I'm prepping for a spell.
I usually will incorporate an appropriate chant to use while buiding friction as I rub the salve in.

Hey Just to do with the energy hands thing.

Mine dont burn but they kind of buzz when i put energy into them. But I thought this was wierder, I can draw energy up through my hands into the middle of my body by concentrating on the movement of the energy, and it works noticeably best when im touching something alive. I think its kind of like diffusion of energy. My hands go dead cold and go a purpley colour. Any ideas how I could use that for someone elses benefit or maybe mine?

Practice excersizes that include hand use eg directing energy, forming balls, drawing power ect. If your hands are natural conducters, use them as much as posable. Some cerimonial magick users will dissagree but being able to accuratly conduct power with your hands can eliminate the need for some tools in your workings which is extreamly helpfull for spontanious magick.
