Physical Body Whilst The Soul/spirit Is Out. Options

I was always wondering...

When in an OBE would the physical body "feel" anything? I've read such posts about escaping pain through a strong mind and such, but what if one could escape physical torture or pain (for any case) by going into astral travel?

I know that it wouldn't be that easy to get into an OBE right away without much practice, but there are absolutely no limits to what one could do.

Once you think about it, even escaping physical death could be possible whilst in an OBE, or travelling to other places.

Well i've never tried yet, maybe 'tis why i'm so curious.

I have read that victims of sexual abuse or even rape are almost in an altered state whilst the attack is taking place so this must be a form of OBE I think?

My OBE's are very short - I think my logical mind is too much of a busy body because I start rationalising what I'm doing.

Although having said that I used to enjoy flying OBE's as a child/teenager.

Astral travel happens when you shift your conciousness from the physical to the astral. Shifting 100% of your conciousness is a feat which takes many years of practice to perfect. I would say that it is possible but improbable that more than a handful of people could withstand extreme amounts of pain without at least some of their conciousness shifting back to their physical body.
