'Myspace' is a wonderful site. I am also its member. You can post your blog. You can also chat among other things.

MySpace is slow, awkward to use, and virus/worm-ridden to boot. It also has the magical property of turning grown men and women into hysterical screaming six year olds. Not cool. I have a page, but I'm almost never on it. After about 30 seconds on MS, I need a shower because I feel contaminated. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/face08.gif)

No offence if you like that, but I'm not a fan.

I never wanted to waste my time with myspace, it is a tool of foolishness (that is my opinion).

However, I tried once to make a myspace page but my computer/technology skills did not acqueintance me.

MS =
:highly addictive
:incredibly annoying
:incredibly fun
:can see if ex-friends and ex-lovers still exist using current emails (am I the only one who does that?)
...
:incredibly boring
:incredibly frustrating...

It has it all.

Including viruses!

I remember one friend got angry cause I supposedly sent him a 'penis enhancement' message and a couple of my other friends got annoyed cause they thought I started up my own porno business...People can hack into your account and send messages with too much false sexual info to your friend list, it's incredibly embarrassing!

I recommend you don't join up. I'd prefer not to think of myself as getting all excited by a profile comment. It makes me feel lame.

(But I still get excited anyway...I'm so lame...)

I have a MS profile, but I it has very little detail. I had more detail before, but I took it all off because I want to close it eventually. I'll likely make a new one after that if my other plans (including world domination) are successful (muwhahah!).

Of course you are. You're so lame. You're so lame I'm embarrassed to post right after you. I get excited at the thought of you getting excited so easily, but I'M not lame. Nope. Not this guy. YOU are. You're the lame one. L8r lamer.

If you sign into the myspace web site only put your email and password in if the web page is the official myspace home page. Some people's web pages send you to a page that looks like the myspace login page. DO NOT SIGN IN ANYWHERE BUT THE MYSPACE HOME PAGE... its how hackers can get alhold of your information. I'd also suggest that you do not use the same password as you do your email as hackers can access both your email and your myspace if you do. If you are prompted to sign in else where don't do it and report the profile. Sometimes its not a persons profile but something in it like a blog link or picture link that prompts you to sign in - again don't do it. Notify the person their profile has a virus and the code needs to be changed. If nothing else report the profile anyways.

And just for the hell of it about every month or so change your password. I know it can be a drag to remember new passwords but it'll really save your happy little asses.

Myspace.com/acidshouse my profile is set to private because something I blogged about apparently sparked the attention of the local authorities and got me fired from my job at the highschool. I don't like cops period. Some of the things I say on myspace suggest "crimminal" intentions so pigs can f%*! off and maybe if you're cool I'll add you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

I have a myspace, god help me.

www.myspace.com/mahasvapna

I couldn't even tell you why, but as it happens it's become the most effective way to keep in touch with old friends, my siblings down south, etc... I occaisionally hear from someone I haven't seen in ages, and that's always sort of a hoot. I'm one of those people to whom you won't exist at all unless you're standing right in front of me, I never keep in touch with anyone. It's also another place for me to spread my spiritual propaganda, of course. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blablabla.gif)

peace

I'll give my out my MySpace link once I've created a new account, updated it, etc. It won't be for at least another month or two, maybe longer depending on how things go.

Just some more safety tips cause I'm bored miserable at the moment:

When you sign in make sure it is myspace. Look at the URL and if it says something like mxspace myspace.net, msypace.com or something other than the official myspace home page than do not ever ever sign up and never give out your personal or login info to anybody. All somebody needs to steal your identity is your full name and birth date.

Further more be careful about the html code you add to your profile. Video and music codes especially. Sometimes their creators add additional code that can do a variety of things - track you, steal information about you and spam those on your friends list.

Sometimes I feel good about having taken a course on cyber crime. But really its just made me incredibly paranoid.
