Reality Shifts?, Also posted on OF, to examine answers... Options

Recently (being several weeks ago), I've been studying and exploring alternate realities. Thanks to a lot of appreciated advice from my two mentors, I've learned a lot about some of the more threatening realities that are dangerous even to visit (and of course, I don't freaking go there!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ), and I've visited realities that are magnificent, strange, and mediocre.

However, I've noticed at work that a strange reality "shift" had been occuring. I had left my desk (rather cubicle slave chamber) to go on a break. When I got back, the energy all over the place was going crazy... my desk looked different, everyone looked different, some people weren't at work when they were all there previous to my break. I saw, energetically, a large, boiling puddle scrambling across the ceiling. I didn't feel drained or hurt or anything, just really weird. I couldn't speak correctly the entire time I was at work.

Well, I felt that was all digression... I'm not looking for validity about my experience. What I AM looking for is, why do reality shifts happen, and what causes them? I've heard of reality being tampered with to such a degree in an alternate world that people can actually draw up a reality bubble around a victim, and calcify it to such a degree that the person is trapped in stasis.

That reminds me of a wicked cool place in my home town. We used to cruise the backroads alot (I'm a farm girl...wheee!), and there was this one on the south side of the highway that we used to take alot.

One day while deciding to turn right instead of left (the right road ws parallel to the highway running west), and we figured we would just end up in the next town, right? Well, this road instead started turning more right, soon taking us north. We where driving along, looking at the cows and pastures (fun fun), and suddenly, we ended up on the east end of town, on the north side of the highway. Keep in mind, we started off on the west end, south side. We don't remember crossing the highway, or even seeing Kindersley for that matter until we pulled back onto the highway.

So we thought that we just missed the crossing, instead, when we back and took that route about 5 more times within the next week, paying UBER attention, not once did we cross the highway. Everytime ending up on the opposite side and place.

Now, logically, we would have HAD to cross the highway, but after many days of debating over what this occurance was, we came to the conclusion that it was a time and/or place warp. In my little hometown, full of drunks and potheads and riggers. Crazy.

Oh, and sorry for the slight off topic deal, but it just seemed too fascinating.

I always enjoy learning about the experiences of others, and I like to share my own as well. I've learned some things so far, including a technique my mentor saw in an especially dangerous reality (dangerous even to visit!), where psychic hunters there used energy to surround their target in a reality bubble, and they "calcified" it to such an extent that if you tried to run, it'd be like running very slowly in a dream. In short, you'd be trapped in a stasis bubble, and they would do what they please with you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
There are a few unpleasant realities around that like to "trap" you as soon as you pop in for a visit. Obviously, I will never go there. But if anyone else does, I will not hesitate to listen to what they have to say if they make it back out. n_n

Popping in and out of alternate realities sounds friggen amazing, but after your story of psychic hunters, I think I shall refrain. I've actually been really interested in exploring those realities on a spiritual level, I think it would help immensly with my chosen feild of study after university.

Please provide more details of the 'alternative realities' you refer to ... and perhaps you could let other members know the methods to reach these alternative realities ....

Well, there's a variety of methods to check out an alternate reality. You can travel astrally, you can scry, but the easiest method is simply to dream-travel.

The dream travel method is mentioned on Chaos Matrix... simply tell your subconcious, before you go to sleep, to visit an alternate incarnation or reality of your choosing (for example, tell it to visit an "interesting" reality that won't get you trapped). Keep this order looping through your head like a mental mantra... also, don't forget to tell it to remember your experiences when you awaken. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't know about how you guys scry, but when I want to scry to an alternate reality, I just do... I don't visualize myself pulling through the fabric existing between probabilities or anything unless I want to astrally travel there.

Other than that, that's about it... just be careful of where you go if you actually travel as opposed to simply scrying... I have discovered several realities where travelling is dangerous, such as any reality where the void has consumed everything (very uncommon reality), where people who hunt mages exist, or if you are being astrally hunted in that reality. If you start frequently travelling through reality, you will show up on the "radars" of your other aware, will-working incarnations. Some of them may try to contact you for something, or whatever. I don't like to visit my alternates... they're pretty psycho. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/black eye.gif)

I know EXACTLY what you mean...however, I have been assuming if I learned more about structured systems such as the kabbala, I would find that one of these realities with entities was a part of a mapped plane- between sephiroth, a circle of hell, a level of the merkaba riders, etc.
Unfortunately, in the end I am left with a practical knowledge of plane X and no language to explain or discuss it with anyone.
As for the hunters, it seems to really vary as to where you are... if they use a tiny pocket universe, and utilize both a repetitive time loop and strong drain while saturating you with interference, your cognitive awareness is shot and your instincts are derailed. I need to use a tiny further surge of Will fed to instinctive survival mechanism, without involving my mind, to relocate outside of the trap; and then nuclear strength shield and propulsion astral flares to return and wake up NOW. One of my strongest tools is the person I sleep beside, who is a conscious dreamer. I keep a tether at all times and my instinct follows it blindly back to this plane in an emergency, as well as the one to my body. Remember that you can use one persons paradigm as transport out of your own, and then stay long enough to recuperate. His ability to walk right back into my dreams, force the energies into his own reality, and devour anything piggybacking or parasitic like they were snack treats also helps with the whole 'time to recoup my defenses' thing.
Just as followers can intensify a paradigm, willful independent company can derail it. A talented working partner you can call that has completely different ideas from your own could be an asset in averting madness.

As to your office experience, or 'reality shift' as you call it, you were SPECIFICALLY feeling the effect of being half here, half grounded, half in the astral, not-tidy-enough-with-the-threads-to-the-last-place-you-were, etc. Often felt after travelling long distances astrally or raising energy and not releasing the excess charge properly, it can pop up randomly hours,days or weeks later- I assume this happenened after you began 'travelling'? ....What you have to do is learn to regroup your sense of self, aura, shields, reality and 'being in the now' that is your natural state, and do so deliberately after you return from a trip. Why? Helicopters need stable landing pads to refuel and take repairs. So do you. Being able to choose a mundane state is essential. Food, laughter, and grounding objects or people can be helpful to come fully back. Pagans send excess energy and connections deep into the absorbant earth and away.

Well, I've learned something useful and unpleasant. Whenever I scry or travel to an alternate reality, I leave a link between that place and myself.
Why is this unpleasant? It's simple.
My alternate selves would love nothing more than to turn me into Half a fried 9;2;2 with a side of Creamed other-half-of-9;2;2. Also, there are some realities that are really messed up, and I don't really like having random doom energy finding its way back via my link. I've had to sever several of my ties last night.
Man, I am such a tard, but I'm learning a whole crapload. n_n
