Shooting Stars Options

two nights ago I got the sudden urge to check my mail at 12:30 am. I normally would be going to sleep at this time, but for some reason I couldn't put the mail out of my mind. Something was nagging me to check the mail. So I went out and got the mail and as I was walking back I lifted my eyes from the mail into the western skies just in time to see a speeding meteoite. It felt like a lucky sign with regards to a working I have been doing, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know what shooting stars are as a sign in regard to sumarian/babylonian ideology?

It seems that a shooting star and or a comet is the sword in the sky. So Necronomically speaking if you see a shooting star then the Elder Gods are trying to get your attention about something.
