Greetings Namesake!

In my opinion ... yes ... YOUR OWN WAY (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yahoo.gif)

Even if it is an amalgamation of many other paths ... it matters not

Be what you are ... a unique vibration ...
Being as that unique inimitible spark you will pull to you the same vibration
Applying this to a 'belief structure' ... this vibration may come as snippets
Bits from one belief or religion; bits from another ...
Or it may come as a recognised path ...

Providing the path you walk suits you best
Ignore the opinions of others
Listen to your own spirit
And be comfortable in your own belief ... in your own way ...

Me for example:

I have amalgamated ... Odinism with Merlin with Native American with being a druid with Cabala with chaos magick with the old path ... with modern day 'medium' and 'clairvoyance' and a whole host of other things ...

I call it the way of the shining light ... or the way of the silver star ... but it is an amalgamation of snippets of many beliefs ... I am comfortable with it being that way ...

To me that is all that counts ... a structure which you are comfortable with as it is you who must adopt it and use it ... a structure to aid you in your growth ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wizard.gif)

limiting yourself to the teachings and dogma of one single path is, ... limiting.

The best thing is just to avoid all names and labels and start studying everything that interests you.
This way you will not exclude subjects that do not belong to your chosen path.

Greetings!

I agree with my fellow posters - there is no need at all to pick a path, less still to stick with one to the exclusion of all others.

As your general magickal knowlege becomes broader and your understanding becomes deeper (and this process is, at the very least, lifelong...) you'll start to see that wisdom harvested from one branch of knowledge fertilises the fruit of another - cross-pollinating your soul with truth, as it were. The bee is not a symbol of wisdom because it picks one flower and sticks to it.

In my studies, I quickly found a 'specialisation' that suited my temprement, personality, circumstances, desires and needs, and I'm happy to say that the time spent studying it deeply has been more than twice-rewarded. I like the meditative discipline of rigorous enquiry. But continuing to read, experiment, think and pray on other paths has been invaluable to me, not only in enriching my study of that subject but in life as a whole.

Many people find that structure useful: broad enquiry, but with a specific "major" that calls to you personally.

And don't forget the treasures hidden in plain sight: science, psychology, astronomy, literature, the visual arts. The more flowers from which you can harvest, the sweeter and more nourishing the honey.

Welcome to our commuity, and good luck in your quest.

Blessed...bee?

many many blessings and great peace, i hope this note finds everyone well and happy.

reading these masterful advices is so wonderful and refreshing. forever teachers are saying to find one, just one then master it and go from there. i have yet to meet any adept who has done this.

i have found so much structure and strength working with ceremonial magick, Golden dawn form in particualr but very loosely. my path has been a multilane highway otherwise. i appreciate the daily work offered but there is an infinity of other things i would have missed.

the saying "all roads lead to mecca." are mirrored as attainment in pagan magick system as well.

93 "Holding the vibration of the original connected oneness in source (Agape) is the law of connection, by holding the vibration of the original connected oneness in source we embody the unconditioned will." (or, "Love is the law, love under will."

Your soul is identicle to god (Shiva,) perfect this very moment!
