Ions, evocation enhancement? Options

I have read that a lot of hauntings and various apparitions are more likely to take place after a thunderstorm. I used to think this was weird, but since someone brought up the idea( on this forum) that spirits need energy to manifest physically then, perhaps spirits would use the ion-charged air as a source.

If this is so then I have a new use for my IonicBreaze air purifier..

I wonder if it might help out during evocations of goetic beings or distract from the opperation. Just run the thing for a few hours in the temple room prior to the work.

What do you think?

If you identify the property of the Ion, for example, as an air based element then only airy spirits can use the ion impregnation as a medium for a certain degree of it's physical manifestation.

Charging Ions is how a Mage opens a sacred circle to begin his craft. Staticly charging the ions can cause a balloon to stick to a wall or similar surface. Ions hold the Earth and Moon on it's ever so constant course and revolution. I think that the main reason for the seeming increase in paranormal activity has more to do with our brain's reaction to the electrical nature of the storm. The Ions of the storm are all going to be charged in particular ways and whether or not one is aware, your mind and body are affected by the presence of a magnetic force. So the frequency of the brain waves are almost always what determines our ability to see, visually, an entity of a nonphysical nature. Ethereal beings are not limited to sprites and the eternaly dead either. Concievably, there could be one or more beings without physical form that have Will and Intent equal to our own, or even the ability to reason and assimilate the nature of your course.

Oh yeah. a storm of any significance naturally puts one at attention. Usually trying to observe the direction and severity of the storm, putting their mind in just the right spot to be able to realize your many senses.

Oh yeah again. Any being not of material will need an empty material space to reside and if you were trying to manifest physical beings by "catching elementals" you could direct the manifesto appropriately with intent as well as using the natural elemental properties of the "body" and the "soul"

Salt rock is good for that too as far as I know. I keep three salt rocks around me all the time, and I've noticed in the past that if I meditate without them, I don't get as an effective peace and calm througout. I feel almost anxious, and my mind wanders more than usual. Like I said, it could just be me.

And I also noticed that the salt rock that have the electric lights in them work like crap. I recommend not getting those.

I agree completely - it all about the energy (and vibration) - raise the energy level (the thing pumps energy into the air making 'ions') and you have more from which to draw - try it on a simple working to check compatibility of energy then go for it
