There's a spell for literally anything you wanted. It is your magick, and you make your own magick to happen. In another word, invent the spell!

Yes there is a spell for that, it is called good o' socializing (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The more people you meet and talk to the more likely it is that you will network with those of like mrlind.
Well that and standing in front of your alter and stating that you would like more magical folks of like mind to come into your life works really well also!

Why don't you advertise yourself on the astral plane????

Go into a meditation and visualise advertising in a local paper for friends ... no seriously ... this type of visualisation WORKS!!!!

Truly believe in the visualisation and the process and you will set off an energy which will create the vibration to attract friends .... but be very, very specific in the advert as to the type of soul you wish as a friend ... any stray thoughts while projecting the thought form and you will get adverse effects (believe me you do) .... Friends come from everywhere, work, specific interest clubs and groups, internet, social one-offs, parties, rambling, workshops, night classes etc. just get mixing, there is always someone you click with but you must make sure you are not subconsciously pushing people away. Be careful of negative energy within yourself that others detect and keep clear of.

True friendships take time to build, you may want to have people that you just socialize with and those that you wish to be closer to, just make sure you know exactly what you want if you intend on anything.

If you wish to find a horse that will drink because you want it then I'd say that goes against the general "ethics" of using magick. That being, in principle, not because its right but because of the side effects when the the spell comes full circle. To bind one to friendship is to bind yourself. I'm sure you really do want to find a real friend and not force it on someone. And advertizing on the astral plains could work. That, however, could also be a becon for other entities to take advantage of you as novice. So unless you have some experince on the astral I'd avoid drawing that kind of attention to you. Then again an astral "teacher" could become a friend. And most entities that are willing to teach aren't trying to take advantage of you. Otherwise they wouldn't waste their time. Still a strong bs sensor is a good quality to have. And never substitute good ole socializing with magick. Even the internet can serve as an outlet, but just to a point.

'Advertising' on the astral does work ... if you know how to visualise the intention and the outcome correctly ... it takes many trial runs ... the main thing is to minimise the risk of comebacks/side effects ...

The visualisation must first be planned out ... literally written out on paper and imagined .... the desired outcome ... the type of person you consider to be ideal as a friend ... your own strengths and weaknesses ... and the likely reaction to the strengths and weaknesses of the intended friend .... there is then the 'domino effect' on the human collective (the adjustment to your energies and energy web which connects you to others) ...

It is not something to be done lightly ... I was maybe a little rash suggesting it as advice ... but then ... in magic ... the risk is worth it as in life ...

If it works then it was meant to be (the fatalist approah) and it will bring into your life what was meant good or bad ....

I've done similar visualisations on the astral plane ... painstakingly visualising the place where I would post announcements and questions ... even down to visualising the advert and pinning it up on a 'public area' on the astral ... it took months before I noticed any change in circumstances ... and even then I sceptically dismissed the change as not being connected to the posting ...

The best spell for this is the "Go to a Bookstore for a Spell". I live in a town of 42,000 people and two large bookstores, and after several visits to both stores' occult sections, I've met several interesting people.
