A noobie question Options

Well I am a noobie and have some questions, I hope no noe minds me asking them. First off, what is the diffrence betwen ceremonial magick and ritual magick?
My other question involves the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram, Who invented it? It seems that most practices use some version of it, I have done some research but have been unable to find the origins of the ritual. Any help is welcome, and please forgive me for my ignorance.

Ritual magick and ceremonial magick are the same thing. Everyone has a different way of going about it but the methods are similer.

The LBRP was created by the Order of the Golden Dawn. They were a group of magicians back around the 1880's. The split up after a few years but had several off shoots and their system of magick has become a standard for the ceremonial community. I hope this helps.

I thank you. I knew of the Golden Dawn and there use of the LBPR, but was not sure if they created it or not.

Specifically though I believe the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram(LBRP) was penned down by S.L. Mathers.

Actually I believe the ritual as well as all the outer order rituals were included within the Cipher Manuscript. Although Mathers did pin the inner order rituals.

Of course many people believe there was never a cipher manuscript to begin with anyway and that mathers and his mason buddies wrote it all themselves. So I guess it depends on how you look at it.
