Hey,
Have any of you BURNED sigils of Demons? Ive read in multiple places that by burning their sigils, you can
1.Scare them
2.TORTURE them
So I can just draw hundreds of sigils and burn it so the Demon can get punished? Wont the Demon then punish ME BACK? Doesnt the sigil also have to be CHARGED in some way if you wanna burn the sigil?
And is burning sigils a good way to banish and finish all relation ships with the Demon? Im planning on summoning Vassago with a respectful method [no circles, triangles, "protections", etc]

Yes by burning the sigil you can torture a spirit. Yes the sigil must be charged to work, but most importantly you must have INTENT. It must be your full intent to torture or harm the spirit by burning it.

Fire is my favorite method to dispose of old sigils. I thank them for their work and I release them, then burn the sigil to cut any remaining ties I have with them. It is not my intent to harm so no harm is done. But there have been times when I have burned a sigil to torture them and they have felt it.

Your last question can they come after you to punish you back? I am not sure. I do not see why not but if you are a half decent magician then it shouldn't be much of a problem.

Now why would you want to start something that will end badly? What Nero states is true. Intent is the driving force along with desire/need. There are many forms of 'forced cooperation' when it comes to persuading recalcitrant demons. BTW, demons aren't the only entities that can be 'persuaded' through the use of sigils.... Spurious torture techniques against demons could cause you to gain ALOT of infernal attention. That is not a good idea. IMHO you are foolish to conjure demons without some sort of backup. It needn't be a circle, or a triangle, etc. One of the standard magicians tools would suffice until one has built a working relationship with said entity...that and alot more experience. Something you neophytes tend to gloss over. The Goetics can be very subtle with their influence. I've always heartily recommended that practioners spend at least some time either in psychotherapy or some in depth introspection before evoking/invoking spirit entities. Your choice, your mind.
