All right, I'm getting tired having to explain this on several topics and PMs. I am actually reluctant to make a new topic to announce this since I think post counts should never be important to even question it so here it goes...

In one of our team efforts (valued members, mods and admins) to constantly maintain and our never-ending improvements of the SMF quality, your posts/new topics on the following forums (including its sub forums) for example, will NOT be added to your cumulative post counts: Site Related, The Coffee Shop, The Sewer, and One Liner (Neophyte Hall).

These above forums IMHO will tend to be a place to socialize, and abit "chatty" without supporting directly to the main purposes of this forum.

The mentioned forums above naturally will be a lot less moderated than other information sharing and learning forums. Not to say that you cannot learn from other forums but I see these forums have a different community purposes and will be treated as such.

Althought may not be applicable to all topics, with this policy we are hoping to encourage members to think, be considerate and be informative before posting a reply or starting a new topic on the main forums or risk being moderated.

On the main forums, I'd very much prefer to see a quality well-thought posts - trimmed and condensed posts packed with knowledge rather than a long, endless and useless mind chatters which often does not contribute to our learning process. Rants and personal vents is Ok once and a while which is natural, however, I do NOT want to see this to develop becoming the main forums posting culture.

The Coffee Shop forums accomodate this as well as other present and future new subs/forums we can make available when the need arise.
