Hi, I'm fifteen years old but have been studying the occult for a while now, and am quite confused about something (sorry, possibly being naive but i'm sure you've all been there!!! Possibly things never become clear!?!?!?). Have not done any rituals or magic yet apart from basic auric and meditation exercises but am making sure I read a lot first... Well, so far as i can make out it seems as though the Abramelin ritual centres almost exclusively around faith and trust in the lord. Is this Christian faith? Surely it must be as it stems from Solomon... Anyway, I would not consider myself a 'Christian', or any religion with conviction at the moment. Possibly 'deist' in its loosest term would be most apt. Does this mean that I could never achieve contact with my HGA: At least using the ritual laid down by Abramelin? Naturally 'switching religion' would only be a superficial thing, and would not change anything spiritually, and is also warned against, probably for that reason. Sorry, once again, I may seem totally stupid.... Crowley managed to achieve someting along the lines of his HGA, did he not? But he was definately not Christian!!!!! From everything else i've read it seems that Magickal power comes from energy, not faith (though one could argue that faith is a path to energy i'm sure), but the Abramelin seems to be crucially centred around the 'Lord' and faith... Thanks if anyone can give me any help...
