I read that fire elementals can be difficult to deal with as a familiar, I was recommended to start with perhaps a fire faery. Any one know about their behavior or best ways to contact them? I considered summoning Djinn, or perhaps going through the Tattwa of Tejas.

"Summoning Spirits" has some elemental angels in it. I am willing to bet that you could procure a familiar from one of them.

Greetings,

For fire elementals I think the term difficult is probably apt. When employing them you've got to be more specific with your instructions/limitations for them. They can be very much like their physical element. If something gets too close, they can jump to it and begin affecting it.
As for acquiring one, the Fire King Djinn has given me a number of very successful Salamanders and Efreets.
Peace

Hmmmm

Well, when i had one put into my service, it appeared almost totally without form. It was as if a bonfire had been given intelligence. Efreets, in my experience, are very much like fire itself.
