Hi all.My friend did a dedication ritual a while ago(THE ONE WHICH SHOULD BE DONE JUST ONE TIME>>>)And she did something wrong_she couldn't stay awake while the candle was burning... What will she do?Is there any way to do any ritual in the future?I really don't know how to help her.I haven't done that ritual yet. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/black eye.gif)

What's wrong?
It sounds as if her dedication to the worship of Hypnos went perfect.

My first response may be viewed as a joke or childish but to be honest all your friend really did was mutter some words, light a candle, and fall asleep. Her actions basically did nothing. She demonstrated no intent, no concentration, and no effort.

As such we can expect no results. Frankly, what is she doing dedicating herself to a path when she can't pay attention for ten minutes? A little effort and work is needed more than a dedication to a path.

She doesn't have anything to worry about, I won't claim to speak for the Gods or rulers of the path she chose but I would probably be pissed if I was them and simply ignore the simpleton.

I wouldn't worry worry. ChaosCrowley explained why.

However I would be worrying about yourself for future rituals, especially the ones you do as a group. You know the impact it could have if someone has no dedication nor concentration? Basically letting the rest of the group down. It's not so much the failure of a ritual that is the problem, but the psychological impact of it on the group.

It's like a teamsport. You go out to win a match, but you can't do it on your own.
We all know how the team yells and shows their dissapointment if one of their team members didn't give it their all and didn't show intent to even try and win and just accepted the loss before hand, or was simply to lazy to care.

BTW nice joke CC37 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/evil.gif)

Yes. Once she has learned a few more things...such as dedication and discipline.

Prudence,

First thing's first. What kind of ritual did your friend do? It is very possible that she can do it in the future and she must be well rested in order not to fall asleep again. Let me know so that I may be able to help you.

She did a dedication ritual to Lucifer and she couldn't stay awake because in the ritual she did she should meditate while the candle was burning, and the candle was very long,so she unfortunally fell a sleep while she was doing all of that...How stupid, isn't it?

Prudence, she should have never made that kind of dedication to him. He's the last thing that I would have made such a ritual to. As far as the meditation goes, it should have only been about an hour if she was going to fall asleep. It's not stupid, but, irresponsible. She needs to do a total cleansing with black salt and/or dragon's blood to rid herself of such an entity. Start fresh and anew and be careful of what she does.

Blessed Be,

If she did this ritual, and wasn't trained enough to stay awake during meditation, it sounds like she's doing this to rebel. Maybe she should research what she is dealing with more from different sources and base her decision off of that. She needs to learn what she is actually doing before jumping off into the deep end without learning how to swim. It sounds like another person was sucked into Joy of Satan. Good luck,

To me this sounds like she was successful. I say this because there are quite some rituals already where sleep during the ceremony is essential. I am thinking of the walking of the gates in the Necronomicon and Crowley's Liber O part V. People may disagree with me here, but it so I interpret them. My point is, I don't think her sleep became a normal one.

I just posted an experience I had in the summer where I was doing a ritual and I fell asleep.
