This topic seems to surface again and again under different guises, but might as well relate it to entities. The more responses the better.

Does the behavior of an entity change depending on who is contacting it? My experience tells me that it does. IE, if the vocabulary of the summoner/contacter is limited, the vocabulary of the entity will be limited as well (assuming communication is in words). This seems to suggest that even well-known, widely-credited entities have somewhat of a servitor nature. In your opinion, is their nature entirely individual-based, partially individual-based, or entirely autonomous? Is enlisting the assistance of a widely-credited entity any more effective than creating one? If, as the common belief seems to go, an entity's power increases with the number of people who have invested thought in it, then what exactly is the "core" or the "essence" of that entity, given that its details change depending on the summoner?

Just as your manner of approach to different people changes depending on that person, so the behaviour and respose of an entity must surely change with the individual with whom he is interacting? I do not think it stands to reason that if the "vocabulary of the summoner/contacter is limited, the vocabulary of the entity will be limited as well (assuming communication is in words)." It may be conceivable that the summonser is a deaf mute, in which case the entire conversation is limited to a series of unintelligble grunts or within the mind. Does that limit the entiry to the same vocal output?

I am very unsure about this servitor issue so I cannot make a intelligent comment, but suffice to say that in my opinion if you want an entity to perform the role of servitor or that of a dominant being, then it is the degree of your mind control which governs the attitude of the entity.

I partially agree with this because I think a lot depends on your own approach to the response you get.

In the case of some dragons I have seen, they are the same wherever they are as far as I can tell and I have seen the dragons of other magickians known to some of us.

Not sure about the second lot of questions though because it brings up a whole lot of new questions to do with real or imaginary, ability of the summoner and so on...
