waterjuice - launch, any ideas about this track? Options

hi. i'm new to this forum, just discovered chaos magic a few days ago (possibly more about that later in another thread -- i'm pretty much amazed, never really thought much about magic but some of the stuff here and there seemed to touch me -- more about that in another thread i hope i can promise (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ).

anyway, on to the subject. waterjuice is an artist in a musial style i like to call "ambient hippie dub", one of their tracks stands out from the rest: "launch" from the album "melbaphonics", it's different, suddenly disco-style with a 100% vocoder content [i love vocoders]. i like to discuss the lyrics of the song here and see if any of you more knowledgeable people can explain to me some of the references made in this song.

i was already fascinated by the "nexus solar plexus" bit in the lyrics, but when accidentally (or synchronically) hearing this song while browsing these forums, i decided it may make a nice first post and registered an account.

the lyrics are for me (as a non-native speaker, and because of the vocoder) a bit hard to make out, but this is what i've deciphered so far:

now, because this is my first post i'm a bit reluctant to posting a link to the mp3, i'm really not sure what the mods on this forum would think of that. also i checked the waterjuice homepage and they had *every* single track of that album available for free download, *except* this track ;-)
as far as i can get the general character of this band (DJs/artist/collective), i'm sure they wouldn't mind if i post a link, so what i'll do is to post it in a reply to this post, so the mods'll have an easy time wiping it if they disagree with that.

a preview download featuring only part of the song,
and a russian ftp offering the full download [standard 'scene' release from mycel] from this forum

if the links don't work i'd of course be happy to upload the track to some free filehosting site, as i really don't think the guys from waterjuice would mind it as an exercise in interpreting their lyrics.

It sounds like the artist made a very wierd and odd compilation about how he was feeling at the time. It sounds like they are a very cool band and I plan on looking into them more after I post this but to be honest I don't know what this has to do with chaos magick, is their music good at causing you to achieve gnosis? I don't mean to nag but this kind of stuff is usually in the coffee shop, but it's all good! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bigwink.gif)

"results magic" or not, i want to read up a bit more before i try anything (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) also the hyperventilating/blackout stuff sounds kinda scary and unhealthy to me.. a thread about alternative methods to achieve gnosis would maybe be better on topic here?

hmm that's a good idea maybe someone should make a post about different ways of achieving gnosis.. I totally agree with you when I started chaos magick I didn't really agree with some of the ways of achieveing gnosis and I still feel the same way. One of the ways I like to achieve gnosis is simply saying a prayer to a certain diety I am working with, but to be honest I don't think you really have to achieve gnosis. Gnosis in my opinion is pretty much like being in a trance but instead of taking orders from someone else we give orders to are sub-conciouss which allows us to manipulate energy better. It's already been proven that we spend most of are lives in a trance, from watching to tv to reading a book (I'm probably in a trance right now lol) but the difference is that when we enter a trance without knowing we tend to take a passive role which usually doesn't help us and can actually hurt us mentally. Another way I like to achieve gnosis is by listening to a bunch of music that makes me feel an emotion that is relevant to what I am going to do, either way just wanted to show you that there are many ways to achieve gnosis without the possibility of causing damage or even death to yourself.
