can any one help me with some thing plz Options

hi every one i was wondering if any one could help me out i am very new to ceremonial stuff but not over magic so for give me if you find my post dafft lol.i got a copy of the goetia off amazon its mr crowleys one with the nice pics of the spirits of the goetia in. as soon as i picked it up when it came i could feel the enegy coming out of it i have tryed to seal the enegy in it and clean the enegy out to. but its not working i like the book but i feel that i should get rid of it or some thing i would of thought that the seals of solomon would keep every thing in it and stop things coming out it could be me what is the prob more then the book i am very psychic also so i wonder if i am linking in with the book some how?????? lol any way thanks for your time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Why not take the mundane approach and just get rid of it? The sigils are symbolic representations of the spirits themselves and sometimes people appear to have difficulty in their presence. I've heard people express problems like this with the Necronomicon also. This hasn't happened to me personally so I can't readily identify with your situation.

In any case it's probably a good idea to just get rid of it. If you are having difficulty with it's mere presence, putting it to use is going to be problematic at the least. Since it's presence serves no real purpose; give it away, sell it, or throw it out until it has some practical use.

Your problem isn't the book, it's you. CC37 is correct if this is causing so much trouble. Why did you buy it to begin with? Instead of immersing oneself into subjects best left to more advanced practitioners, learn various meditations and grounding techniques. Study your own mind to understand how you work and how you relate to the world through your own universe. Dabbling with demons is not a good newbie pasttime! Good luck! Sacredwolf I had very similar problems with the Goetia when I obtained my first copy of it in the late 1960's/'70's. I eventually burnt the book! However I returned to it just a few years ago when I felt ready, for I now feel much stronger more 'grounded', more able to control the forces within and without me.

Not being funny here, but Ceremonial Magick is about energy and contact and you got a result almost straight away - I would be thrilled (and was) and want to learn more, my journal would be full of this exciting moment and I would be delving in, trying to understand it etc etc.; this just sounds like it scared you. Are you sure you want to follow the CM path?

Maybe you should think carefully about why you want to look into CM, is it just out of interest or research or as an experiment or you have some future ideal in mind?

I really do think you need to be clear about why and to what ends here and if you do think it is for you, then I would start with basic stuff. Don't take any notice if you get called fluffy whilst you are reading say Kraig's Modern Magick, if you want to do it for real, then you have to start at a place where you can handle it.

Most importantly, you should enjoy your path.

i do agree with you all and i will tell you all the reason why i got the book its not for dabbilng with i know better then that lol it was just for research becouse i just wanted to look in to the old thing about gods truned in to demons etc.i just did not know that it would come alive as it were lol (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif) lol i have done magic 4 years and i know how ppl over time have had there gods truned in to demons by Christian culture and over cultures over time.like the horned god they tryed to make out he was the devil and etc.but any ways i have cut out all the siglls of the spirits and got rid of them and keept the book cos like cc37 said they represent the spirits so no siglls no spirits and i have cleaned the enegys out agen as well it dose have seemd to worked.i know all to well about ppl who do dabbl i have seen what dose happen to them and that ant nice and the names dee and kelly come to mind also .but i like looking in to the manny kinds of magic that is around eerrr the key of solomon is an odd one i find .i know angels are very real i have come across them manny times they are very firey and got a very clean enegy about them as well and loving to.but the enegys from this book that was in it tryed to make you feel fear of them but i know if you let some thing feel fear you give it power over you so i would say it did not scare me but shuck me a bit it was very overpowering but i fond as soon as you fight back it gose a bit dead on you lol my gess is over time the spirits have known this to be true about the fear thing and they try it on with you but eerr my be in time i will get in to cm more but i dont want to work with demons lol any ways things for your help every one xxxxx god bless sacredwolf p.s i love my path to lol xxx

THe same thing happened to me when i bought my first copy of the Necronomicon. I had nightmares/creepy crawlies the works it real repeled me. So I put it away in a box at the back of a closet covered with the usually storage closet stufff and forgot about it for about 15 years. Then about 3 years ago it entered my mind again and i knew exactly where it was I tried to forget about it again but it was always in the back of my mindand sometime the fornt of my mind. Everything seemed to remind me about it. After about 2 months i got it out and read it. Everytime i touched it this time a feeling of peace came over me. Now I am so glad and feel very accepted by the 50 names. I think the problem was that I was not ready and they knew it and let me know it. My advise is to you since you have a connection to this book and it contents already is put it some where out of sight and out of mind. If and when you are ready it will let you know.
