When scrying the aethyrs from TEX to NIA, there seems to be a fairly steady line of developments in which you could almost write a continuous story from it, but it changes when you get to NIA, I have been trying to understand why before I proceed.

Will it only become clear after I proceed?

Does it seem to change a lot for everyone at NIA or does the story change for some people on other aethyrs?

Is it different each time you start the journey from TEX?

Would prefer answers from members who have actually done this rather than mere speculation please.

Hello!
I haven't progressed further than this myself, though not for lack of trying!
I've been researching this problem and have come up with a number of clues. Are you still interested? I know that you wanted people with first hand dealings with this and I haven't passed this point myself.....

Over a lifetime I believe that we work slowly through each aethyr although it seems possible that we return to some whilst working on others - I have no idea where I am at over the lifetime scale, but whilst doing some meditations with them, I did notice that there were very noticeable changes at certain points where the 'story' if you like seemed to turn a corner and one of these meditations where this happened was at BAG and then I noticed another at NIA; I have not meditated further than this yet.

I am wondering why the change is so dramatic at some points and if those points are a big leap for everyone or if different people find them at different places.

Also, if we are walking much of it in smaller samples throughout the overall journey, do we get stuck at the same points each time?

I see the aethyrs as a continuous pattern of growth where we go around several or even more times until we finally do them for the last time and clear out the imperfections of the other times. Whether that happens in one lifetime I have no idea or even if in reality, we only really do the journey once; I am hoping there are others here who experienced them and have an opinion on the above; so fire away Bym (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Greetings Radiant Star! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I discovered Enochian alittle over 25 yrs ago and felt very comfortable with it. Who knows? I had the good fortune to take some classes on the subject from Simon (of Necronomicon fame) and have worked with it on and off over the years. Life of mundania intruded along the way and before you knew it I was on the downside of good health. This, in particular, stymied alot of astral workings due to a heart condition. Feh! I will work through this, one way or another...
It was told to me (and I find this so from actual work) that there are 3 main barriers, if you will, that one comes to whilst Rising on the Planes/Aethyrs. At NIA is the first, where one leaves the astral and progresses into the Mental Plane. It is considered an Initiatory barrier equating with the Grade of Philosophus and the ability to move through time and space astrally. Its corresponding sephiroth is Netzach(Venus). I would try the ritual of Rending the Veil to project past this spot. With this will come a feeling of great freedom (of movement).

I have utilized the Schuelers books on Enochian as guides and they seem to be right on the money! I'd love to peruse Rankine/Skinners book though....*sigh* money is a problem...but what the hey... I'm also noodling around with the Liber Scientifea (sp?) as outlined in the Aurum Solis papers by Denning and Philips. Great inspirations! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Arg, can't find my notes...
I have found that some areas in the Aethyres are suddenly really difficult to get past, but cannot remember which offhand. I have not traveled all of the aethyres for about a year now.
For me it seemed as though as I went up they became less dense, and less anthropomorphised as far as the beings I encountered go. I also noted that the visions became more intense and vivid as I got further up, yet harder to put into words.
Whenever I got to one of the 2 or 3 places along the aethyres where I got stuck I would just take a break for a week or 2 then tackle them again when I had integrated everything more. Some people can seem to do the aethyres all in a row, and sometimes all in a sitting, or each day in a row. It never worked that way for me however hard I tried LOL. I sort of went at them as I felt ready, and there were definatly 2 or 3 places I had to take a break.
One trick I used was one that I used with the tree of life. When going up the tree if I find that I am having difficulty ascending, I sort of lose some of my solidity/heaviness as I go up, as well as lose some of my concepts and thoughts as I go further up, so eventually I am a lot less dense and a lot less how I was when I started in malkuth. Hope that made some sense (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Dragon Loving Wizard, what book can you recommend on pathworking?

I've done much astral projection, but don't see the places described in Enochian methods..
are those astral locations?

ZenMusic, a pathworking book I like is the one by Dolores Ashcroft-Nowicki called the Shining Paths.

If you were wanting Enochian, you could just pick the first aethyr, chant to raise energy and then 'see' what your mind does with it, when I was in the workshop, we were looking for keys to the next level. Some people do this very easily, others find it difficult. There was no picture or set up to work from in that workshop, but the books on pathworking set a scene and you enter into it and see what happens.

Some would say that you are opening astral doorways meaning that you are opening up different areas of your mind, so it will be personal, others will see it as opening up to a universal mind that we all have access to, only you view will be slightly different because your door is not in exaclty the same place as someone elses. Hope that makes some sense lol

I think maybe we all see something different, thought there seem to be common themes and experiences, it may be that you yourself will not see the same as what someone else has described.

The second part of your question has been made into a new thread in Esoteric Discussions because I think others will be interested in these differences.

Thank you for the info. i have much wanted to delve in this area. Are the Aethyrs accesible via dream or is it a meditation only?
