Grigori

Grigori : is the collective name for a group of angels who lost grace, they are also known as watchers. Originally it is told that the Grigori were sent to look after, guide and assist man during the beginning of civilisation. Sadly these angels were not suited to this job and instead of playing a positive role they began to teach man sciences that God had deemed to be forbidden. These subjects included astrology, divination, herb craft and magic. To compound this, they also began to lust after some of the women they were supposed to be guiding. In order to cohabitate with these women they even assumed physical forms. Although the church might argue that angels have no gender and therefore are unable to procreate anyway, the following excerpt from Genesis 6:4, points out that "the sons of God went to the daughters of men and had children by them". The resulting half-breeds were named as the Nephilim.

This kind of bad angelic behaviour could not be tolerated and as a result the grigori were taken from their posts and imprisoned in a layer of heaven. Although they appealed to Enoch to speak on their behalf to God, they remained bound for 70 generations. As for the Nephilim, it has been suggested that one of the main reasons for the great flood, was not only to punish man, but to cleanse the earth of the half-bred creatures created from the union of fallen spirit and flesh.

*Does a little dance!* Oh! Oh! I have more to add! These angelic Prometheus endowed further gifts to man than those that have been mention. Cosmetics (whose concept is to beutify God's perfect creation), blades, knowledge of metals, and so on were endowed by them. If I can find part of my research report from a few years back I'll post a list of specific Grigori and gifts that they gave Man.

Grigori are said to be giants when enfleshed, appear to be human only with more angelic features. They lack wings and are mute (Hence Watchers). These angels are rumored to have been intentionally granted gender which will somehow play into the Clockwork of Existance.

Nephilim! These children of the angels were looked upon as monsters and esentially worshiped as gods. They, like their sires, lacked a concious and were apt to destroying humans if they felt they were being denied something. It took several generations of these great beings for the Grigori to figure out how to enflesh their children (make them look like men). They were wiped from the earth because of the idolitry they inspired and for the remoresless rule over the humans they came across.

Some texts say that the blood line of Nephilim was not wiped out entirely, and that they have further progressed their race over the years. Some sources conclude that they have been allowed to live as sort of an 'ace in the hole' for when war between the worlds breaks out.

Going a little further on the flood thing, while the Nephilim were destroyed in the flood (which, according to Enoch, was a part of the flood's purpose), their spirits still exist in the form of Ruach Refaim - sort of demonic spirits that wish to slay all the living.

Their children, the Anakim (sons of Anak), are the giants recorded in the bible. Some giants worthy of note are Goliath of Gath (one of the giants of Gath) and King Og of Bashan.

The value of an individual is not numerically assignable. Given the individual's infinite capacity to affect change (for better or for worse), it follows that their value is just as infinite. Logically then, not only are all individuals of equal value, but all possible combinations and groupings of individuals are of equal value, and finally, no matter an individual's past actions, their capacity to affect positive change is not diminished.

The value of the individual is sacrosanct, but actions must be directed in an effort to affect positive change.
