Hi all,

The past few months I've been working intensely with Murmur and Ose. This resulted in having build an interesting relationship with them. Most people seem to follow the guidelines of grimmoires, as in commanding an abusing the spirits. I used a more respectfull approach and it beared fruit.

I performed the rituals with the minimal tools. The basic circle and ritual, a scrying mirror and my dagger - Simply because I rather get down to the core instead of using a lot of symbolism which works on the psyche instead of the esoterical aspect. In the beginning I used mead (the drink for gods of the nordic traditions like Wodan and Loki) as offerage. Last week I asked Ose if he could give me some insight into what I'd need to go further with the Goetia. He said that I was to get a sword, but seeing I had no idea which one or where to get it I asked him if he could aid me. The answer was "When you go to Tilburg with your friends, one of them will have a trip prepared, pay attention and you will find it". So as I was in town a few days later I came upon the Sword of Solomon and got it for a massive discount.

Now my question. Who has worked with this sword before? It seems rather big to use for making circles heheh. Does anyone have any information about it? Has a Goetic spirit told them to get certain "tools" in order to proceed?

I'd like a serious reply if possible. Currently I'm digging through books and other sources, but I can't find any real leads to get me going. I also asked several spirits, not just Goetic ones, but no help there either :S

The simple response would be "There are no accidents"

i have a large sword. Yet it is not sharp, so i won't cut myself with it.
It is nicely polished and really shines.

I think it is a sword from the french police in the years 1800, used as a ceremonial sword for parades. But i could be mistaken.
Yet, because it was second hand i took extra precautions of purifying it.

The sword emanates more power than a dagger or a wand. It is rather intense and authorative as a weapon, which is why it would be helpful.
It is also less threatening than a dagger, it is more honorable, than a small dagger. It will get greater respect i think.

I did not use my sword yet for evocation, but in general workings, that is what it feels like when i use it.

It is one of my favorite weapons.

I also have a short sword, but that one is rather sharp, it is a more lethal weapon, though it is not really one of my magical tools. I have used it, but i found it to be to aggressive to use in magic comfortably.

That is my experience, but i'm no authority on evokations or using swords in magic. I just go with the flow.
Most of my tools came to me, like on a trip, or as a gift. I seem to have a knack for attracting magical tools when i need them.
Much like what you describe about your trip, keep your eyes and ears open mate, you could find something of great value.

I also have a Sword of Solomon. It's a presentation sword made by Wilkinson Sword which I had them emboss on it the words of power like the one illustrated in the Greater Key of Solomon.

I don't use it much these days but it is always by my bedside and I've never been 'phased' by any spirit all the time it's in my possesion.

I used it to draw circles and as a last resort an instrument of command.
