Do an Amazon or abebooks.com advanced search for subject:witchcraft published before 1970 and sort the list however you want.

Considering there are 900 results at Amazon, 9000 at abebooks you are going to need a little better description than that.

If you could remember at least one word of the title, an author, or a publisher you would be set. I can tell you that if it wasn't very popular it might be available used but it is going to be a Witch to find it because there are almost never pictures for sites with books that are out-of-print.

Good luck

Perhaps "Mastering Witchcraft" by Paul Huson? ..or "Witchcraft, Today" by R. Buckland, ...or another by Gerald Gardner, ...there are many...
Like CC37 says. His search method will work fine! Yes, abit more to go on will definately yield better results. I could list all the witchcraft books in my collection since I bought most of them pre-1970....? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/fie.gif)

You might have a bit of a challenge on your hands as anything printed before 1970 could have a new cover and possibly a new title or be completely out of print.

You can still find copies of book seller lists from before 1970. I have several of these early purchasing guides. Most of them are from Hyre and Goodman, but just look around. Some of the titles are 'Price Guide to the Occult, " "Esoteric Purchasing Guide," and "Book Purchasing List for Occultist Studies." No pictures in them, just book lists. They usually put out one or two a year, with quite a bit of overlap. You library interloan may even be able to track some of them down for you too.
