Hey guys, I'm currently looking for ways to advertise to increase traffic to SM.
I've used google adword, but would like to see other option as well.

I'm interested to find high traffic site with targeted audience for SM where I can purchase a paid ad space. I'd purchase ad on occultforums.com but too bad they dont offer space for this.

I'd be appreciate and be grateful if you can point me to a large magic, occult and spirituality oriented site and community for this purpose. Online and offline ads. Is there any big occult magazine in the US and UK? Url pls?

Thanks in advance (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

That's a good recommendation bym. I don't know if they still do but they used to publish a small almanac that came out each year, with moon phases and short articles. I never thought the quality of the publication was that great but I do know that among the pagan groups in my area it had a high circulation. There were small ads for bookstores and the like.

I don't always approve of llewellyn's publications but I have to admit that they serve a wide audience and they probably have the highest have the largest audience of individuals associated with these kinds of things.

Yes I have Bym, I can't find their media kit anywhere, at least not yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

There's this 2 magazine I'm interested though http://www.bbimedia.com/ PanGaia and New Witch. It has about 13.000 copies circulated per issue, so that's about 20.000 something. I am not sure if you guys read this magazine? I'm only purchasing small text advertising tho (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Kinjo,

Have you looked a direct mail campaign or a press release?

I'm a freelance marketing consultant and copywriter (Don't worry, I'm not hawking my services... I'm not even going to link my site.), and 90% of my online clients have had massive success with these two offline methods. There's a lot of movement towards cross advertising and the numbers are showing that it works like gang-busters when it's properly executed.

Also, you could partner with offline occult bookstores. You'll need an incentive for the owner to work with you as well as the customer to purchase.

Hope this helps.

Hi Anderlin,
I haven't look at direct mail and press release option since english is my second language and I am still working on my web copy. Due to my current geographic location (no occult bookstores here), I haven't been able map and segment the market properly. So I decided to focus on online marketing on a shoestring budget for now until I get a better idea of the market and a better finance.

Kinjo,

Well, from what I've seen, you don't seem to have any issues with English to me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I agree the landing page copy can use some work. Do you have a USP (UNIQUE Sales Position / Proposition)? If not, I'd suggest you start there first. It shouldn't take you long as an online occult ebook library is pretty unique in and of itself... But what are you really offering people? What's your HOOK? And even before that, who is your perfect prospect? How can you join the "conversation already in their head?"

Once you've got your landing page copy worked out, a good CONTROVERSIAL PR submitted to PRWeb will net you some fresh traffic just from the release. But the real goal of the PR is to get talk going in forums, blogs, and coffee-shops. Viral marketing at it's best.

Sorry if it sounds like I'm preaching to you... Just trying to help out and give back some where I can. I'd even take your landing page on "on spec," but I'm slammed right now.

I'll shut up now, but if you actually want more advice, feel free to contact me.

Regardless, good luck on your campaign.
