Greetings! Options

Greetings Everyone!

I am new to the forum, and look forward to getting to know everyone. I've been reading occult and new age material for the past fourteen years, and I am still trying to piece together what works best for me. I've discovered that it's all about getting into a deep enough meditative state to make change--it doesn't always matter what I do outwardly so long as I get there, then watch out! Ethics have become more important to me as I've learned to bring about change--just like everyone else I have my bad days and the deeper I go into a meditative state, the more obvious and unavoidable my emotions are--which isn't always unpleasant but certainly can be if I've suppressed something nasty that I'm not sure how to deal with yet.

I'm hear now mostly to hear about others experience with elementals. I've always felt energy in nature, but I've made it my goal to learn how to distinguish between the different types of elementals, and to determine the differnece between the actual and the symbolic when I have what I call an "inner vision" (something that appears in my mind's eye while meditating with my eyes closed-not a vision superimposed on the physical world such as in a hallucination) For example, I had an inner vision yesterday while meditating by a brook--a beautiful, fluid, and prismatic substance wrapped itself around me and induced a feeling of affection, clarity, and lucidity. It was a brief vision, and while reflecting on it after the thought occurred to me that it was a water elemental. I hadn't been thinking about elementals while I was meditating, I was just outside to get away from my computer at work and to rejuvinate in the "negative ions" generated by the brook. I can't be certain it was a water elemental, it doesn't exactly match the description of an undine posted here in the section on elementals. It did seem alive and sentient somehow, but not in the way a human is, and it didn't even have a humanoid form. It just molded it's shape around me.

I'm looking forward to hearing how others perceive elementals. Anyone out there ever have a vision of a water spirit like mine? Any opinions on whether it was an actual undine or maybe something else? Anyone think this introduction was way too long?
