Well, sounds like pixies or faeries... But I don't know for sure. Was that the only time you have seen them?

i think ad&d books had a name for something like that - will o wisp. That was the term i was familiar with so that's what i used to call them. I've seen them as well - when in the woods at night with a group of friends of mine some yrs ago.

Wisps, or will o' wisps are kinda common in forests, so I've heard. I tend to stay out of forests at night though, mainly because I don't like company.

Greetings! Except for the 'hyper' part, it sounds an awful lot like prana disks. These 'disks' rotate and pinwheel through the air, leaving sparkle trails or afterimages of light. They are mostly seen on sunny days when the air is good. Lesser so when it is cloudy...they seem to get their energy from the sun. Maybe this or...not...2 cents is just 2 cents... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

They may just be simple fire elementals. This is what I would assume if I saw them but I may be wrong.

Hate to sound scientific, but sometimes it is just the eyes picking up on blood pressure and seeing that as little sparks.
Not every thing you see are Faeries.

I know what you're talking about. However, I have no idea what they are. Bym's suggestion is quite plausible, but I'm not familiar with that area. I've seen things similar to that many times after long skrying sessions. I guess my 'astral eyes' were still open. It freaked me out the first time, but then I realized that they aren't anything important. You hearing the word 'hyper'
is beyond me experience with this. Don't know what that was. Maybe your subconsius picking up on the inherent attributes of these things?
