My history is a somewhat perplex series of varying trains of thought, typically inspired by philosophical and political revelations. At the moment, I'm best described as predominantly a synthesis of Sternerite and Humean conceptions, mixed in with other influences and my own theories. Politically speaking, I am an anarchist, but I stand outside of both the libertarian socialist and anarcho-capitalist traditions... if anyone wishes, I can expound on my socio-philosophical views, but at present I see no real reason to.
By any account, I am new to the occult. I have primarily been drawn to it via anecdotal evidence of a few acquaintances and a profound desire to self-actualize. I consider myself a resolute agnostic, and do not expect that even successful evocation/invocation would ever change that fact. My intention is to apply a sort of scientific process to the analysis of magick, scrapping those efforts which seemingly fail to work as desired while maintaining those which appear effective. My concern is pragmatic, not spiritual. Do not take this as an offense... it is simply my nature to do so, as I always have been grounded more in logic and rationality than intuition or faith. And I am still quite willing to learn from those with more experience than I.
My zodiac signs are Virgo and Earth Dragon, which places me firmly in the Earth element. I give great credence to the zodiac due to the accuracy I have observed in its predictions. If anyone cares to see a picture of me, one may visit my MySpace:
http://www.myspace.com/oao3405I plan on beginning with and growing proficient in banishing rituals prior to beginning any other forms of magick, and I have high hopes for them due to my past experiences in meditation/self-hypnosis. They strike me as similar. In addition, I frequently have premonitions in the form of dreams, and though I am generally able to distinguish between the mundane and the precognitive, I never know just when what I perceived will occur. I eventually hope to master this ability and use prescience more consciously and efficiently.
