A Seemingly Odd Question, Ritual Tools Including Semen Options

This is rather an odd question (for me to ask anyway). Bit off the beaten track for my threads anyway. But here goes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/baby.gif) What belief systems, magical methods involve the digestion of male semen? What are the desired effects? What are the psychological effects on a male priest who digests his own semen or another's semen? What are the viewpoints towards this priests sexuality?

I'm not about to embark on such a knife edge path. I just need to understand the magic system and tradition behind such a ritual.

In Tantric Saivism (the esoteric form of Hinduism known for there writings called tantras) part of the process of initiation (diksa) requires the guru to plant within the initiates body a “seed” of the godhead. This can take a number of forms (depending on the individual branch of Tantric Saivism) but is commonly the ingestion of blood and semen. These two represent the male-female duality of the godhead. In Tantric traditions semen represents the moon , and blood (more specifically menstrual blood) represents the sun. This is based on the color associations since sunsets/rises=red=blood and moon=white=semen, it is a reversal of our western associations of moon-female and sun-masculine.

If you are interested in the history of this I recommend “Tantra in Practice” edited by David Gordon White. This book is a compilation of articles written by several academics and is extremely informative. Tantric Saivism is one of the most interesting mystery religions (i.e. initiation based), sadly the west only associates it with the Tantric sex practices that were introduced much later into the tradition (not that Tantric sex is bad).

edit: There are also a series of articles by A. Sanderson (I think that is his name) who go through rituals step by step including how to visualize an ascent to the godhead via the 32 tattvas. Let me know if you are interested and I'll dig up the exact info.

i made cookies with it.

I produced the semen while thinking high magickal thoughts and energies. So to imbue the power of the orgasm and the magickal strength at that point in the cookies.

i then mixed it in with the egg whites and made the rest of the dough.

Then i baked the cookies and stored them with the rest of my magickal items for later use.

I ate them when i needed to do meditation or ritual, to heighten my magickal mindset.
I also ate them once when i had a hangover from drinking to much, they seemed to almost instantly relieve the pain.

From my experience these cookies had a lot of potency and an invigorating property.
Almost like drinking a few red bulls, but more subdued. Cafeinne makes me edgy and easily irritated and nervous.
The cookies gave me calm tranquil energy, like i was in control with massive feeling of energy.

The semen doesn't give any other tastes in the cookie, and i reckon you can use any cookie recipe that uses egg whites, just change a few of the egg whites with the same amount of semen. They seem to be almost the same. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/angel.gif)

Some may find it a bit disgusting. But i found it quite a nice experience. But its hard to get the privacy to make this cookies, as i am afraid other people will want to taste some when i am baking them, i want to be completely alone while making them. And i don't feel like telling my family why it shouldn't eat my cookies (IMG:style_emoticons/default/oops.gif)

All this is leading me to believe is that fellation is a bad way of getting rid of one's energy.

Well regardless what path one chooses there are several factors to consider.

First is extraction of the semen. I'm sure we can all image ways how this can be done. It might make a difference if one is using their own semen or somebody else's. The reason this is important is because if one knows how to raise and cycle their energy they could hone in on the semen and inaffect charge it or alter its qualities. This is a pretty important factor as it can affect the out come of one's magick.

So then how does one go about containing the semen? I think a condom might make an ideal catcher but I don't know if any spermicide on it might affect the semen. I suppose one could use their hand, even the mouth, or ejaculate directly on an amulet, doll or perhaps even a penticle.

Then the question is how to use the semen. This probably depends on how one contains it. If in the mouth then one would be mixing their energy with the semen because of their saliva. This could be an advantage in that it would personalize it for their magick. If vaginally the energy could absorbed directly into the body. If one ejaculates directly onto the item they wish charge it would instantly become charged. It is also possible to mix the semen into an elixor/potion of various other elements one chooses (including a collection of semen or other bodily fluids from several people) and use it as an oil or additive for a bath or food.

The final thing to consider is safety. Obviously if the semen comes from the same person who is using it, this is not a big concern. But it the semen is comming from others then one would want to make sure they use caution.

Both forces are at work in most systems, for example in rivers you have the downward flowing gravitic force and the upward flowing levitating force. Most of our technology is based on the 'semen' model, combustion, explosion, heat and pressure inducing - whereas nature uses those forces in predominance in the disintegration and death of things. Both are necessary, don't let the above put you off.

Nice topic . . interestingly I'm in a current corrospondance conversation with Stephen Mace (Stealing Fire from Heaven) about this subject.
Its Mr Mace's contention (granted, not a particularly Ceremonial view) that the retention or reabsorbtion of semen (or famale vaginal secretions) were specifically part of
Crowley's (a particularly Ceremonial view) concept of "Chastity". As well, clearly part of A.O. Spare's set of tools for his magickal work (bowl-talisman consecration)
Seems that Crowley's "magickal child" (as well as a Tantric concept too, I think), weighed heavily on the end use or purpose (or lack of) of the ejaculate.
As if the energy (and esoteric value) of the semen, combined with whatever thought/thoughtforms in the ejaculator (or group participants) are enough to create effect (if not some form of spiritual entity).

Mr. Mace recommends several things in regards to the ejaculant and ejaculator.
The person should practice something akin to A.C.'s Chastity . . that is, don't cum and just waste it in a tissue, for simple pleasure or killing time. Only ejaculate (of any female equivilent) when you intent to use if for
"magickal" purposes. This particularly applies to solitary practice ,as the act of coetal sex gives the seminal energy an appropriate "home" to lodge and diffuse its energy into. Though I'm not sure if there aren't also considerations for any group work that include semen.

His basic premise on use, is that after any ejaculation (magickal or recreational) the semen should be, nearly immediately, placed in the mouth and the energy should be absorbed. Then the remaining fluid should be swallowed as a type of eucharist. (or as previously said, deposited initially in the vagina). The only other use/application for semen that he suggests is a an immediately applied talismanic charge. Either way, it either gets reabsorbed or intentionally applied to a magickal operation. (he give an account of Spare using semen stored in a earthen container to "grow" a "magickal child" too)

I've been playing with the idea of absorbing the semens energy throught my hands (adapting R. Bruces tactile process to create/open minor chakric openings in my palms). Although the process of stimulating/opening the tactile sensation of the palms (in an intentionally magickal chakric concept) is anithetical-feeling to the "production" of ejaculant . . . there is a distinct feeling that come with the intentional reabsorbtion of the semenal energy.
I'm sure the mouth is even more effective . . . but thats a degree of partices I haven't achieved, yet.

Another approach I had worked with (a few years ago) was to take an intent and mentally move through my chakras to the sacral center (after initially raising to the brow chakra), and inform / program that chakra / testes / genitals of the intention. Then produce the already "charged" or programmed semen for magickal use.


Aside from our nearly victorian, overly rational, ashamed of our own bodies/sexuality backgrounds and culture . . . sex and its affiliated products are a poorly under-used and maligned (internally and culturally) part of who we are.
